Chapter 953 You Can Criticize Me, But Not My Husband
After Willow finished mocking, Violet looked at her with a calm, disdainful expression, like she didn't take her seriously at all. Instead, she turned to the nearby staff and said, "I'll buy this painting."
"Wow, people who are kept really do have confidence, huh?" Willow sneered.
Having been through life-and-death situations with Brady, Violet wasn't fazed by a high school classmate. She responded coldly, "If my husband hears you say that, do you think you'll be able to walk out of here today?"
Willow couldn't believe it. She actually brought up her husband?
That was impossible. She remembered Violet's fiancé was Oliver.
Oliver was notoriously stingy. How could he be so generous as to buy her a ten-million-dollar painting?
So, she continued to mock fearlessly, "That's hilarious."
"Everyone knows Oliver is a cowardly cheapskate. Would he really spend ten million dollars on you? You're really good at making yourself look important. Alright, I'm done talking. Be sensible and let me have the painting. Don't embarrass yourself when you can't pay."
Just as Willow finished speaking, a commanding male voice came from behind them, "Who says I can't pay?"
Everyone turned around.
Violet saw it was Brady and instantly smiled.
Willow, on the other hand, was stunned, her eyes wide as she stared at the handsome man with a powerful aura walking towards them.
He was several levels more attractive than any of the handsome men she had seen abroad.
While Willow was mesmerized, Brady had already walked up to Violet, gently wrapped his arm around her shoulders, and pulled her into his embrace. He looked at Willow with a cold, icy gaze, as if he wanted to tear her apart, and said, "Also, apologize to my wife for your disrespect."
"Why should I apologize?" Willow snapped out of her daze and looked angrily at Violet and the handsome man.
She had just returned to the country recently and wasn't very familiar with the affairs of Crestoria.
"Then don't blame me for being rude. I pursued my wife for a long time and begged her to marry me. How did that turn into being kept in your filthy mouth?" Brady hated hearing anyone insult Violet.
It was an insult to him as well.
And his words carried a natural intimidation. Even though Willow was a rich girl, she didn't dare to be arrogant.
However, not daring to be arrogant didn't mean she would apologize.
Willow had never apologized to anyone! Why should she apologize to someone like Violet?
"Not going to apologize?" Brady saw her disdainful look, and the anger in his eyes began to show. He didn't want to waste words with her and was ready to teach her a lesson.
A sharp female voice interrupted, "Willow, there you are! I've been looking all over for you."
Accompanying the voice was another overly made-up, pretty woman.
The woman walked up to Willow, out of breath. Willow immediately grabbed her, using her as support, and sarcastically complained to Violet, "Ivy, Violet is so impressive now. She actually wants me to apologize? She's using someone else's power to bully people!"
Ivy Price hadn't yet grasped the situation. When she saw Violet and Brady, she was instantly shocked and pulled Willow aside, saying, "Willow, did you offend them just now?"
Willow had just returned to the country recently and didn't know who Violet had married.
But Ivy did.
"What do you mean I offended them? I wanted that painting, and she wanted it too. I just said a few words to her. Did I say anything wrong? She's just a poor person who thinks she's something because she married someone. I think her husband looks like a gigolo," Willow continued.
She completely missed the terrifyingly dark expression on Brady's face.
Eddy, standing nearby, gasped. She really dared to say that? Calling Brady a gigolo?
But just as Eddy was waiting for Brady to order Willow to be taught a lesson, Violet had already taken action, slapping Willow directly. "You can insult me, but you can't insult my husband! Your husband is the gigolo!"
