Chapter 360 What Would Happen if I Took the Children Away now?
Selling the house was a breeze, done and dusted in just a few days. New Future City was quiet as usual.
Meanwhile, Violet was knee-deep in her first big runway design project, and it was crunch time.
With the deadline looming, all the designers were burning the midnight oil, barely grabbing a bite. Fanny, Leana, and even Brady were giving Violet her space.
Brady wasn't ghosting her because he was over it after their last run-in; he just wanted more time with the kiddos.
To snag some solo time with the kids, he had to keep Hellen busy.
So, Brady cooked up a plan. He got someone to invite Hellen to this swanky private bilingual early ed school, all under the guise of early education.
To keep it on the down-low, Brady had someone hit up the principal, giving most of the staff a day off and leaving just one trusted teacher.
Hellen got 'tricked' into bringing the kids to this fancy school again.
When Hellen showed up, the teacher kept her occupied while the principal whisked the kids off to a nearby classroom where Brady and Taylor were waiting.
Henry and Nicole knew Brady. They were a bit surprised at first but soon ran over, begging to play.
Brady knelt down, gently touched their faces, and asked softly, "Do you want a daddy?"
'Daddy?' Henry and Nicole were puzzled. Violet and Hellen never mentioned a daddy.
Henry didn't even know what a daddy was. 'Is it like the guy who lives with the mom in cartoons?' he wondered.
In cartoons, kids called the guy next to their mom "daddy." Henry often asked Hellen or Violet why they called that guy "daddy."
His aunt and mom would just say, "That's what they call him."
Henry found it weird. Why call the guy "daddy"? But his mom told him not to call anyone "Daddy" casually.
Nicole was even more clueless. She couldn't talk yet, so she had no idea what a "daddy" was.
She just blinked her pretty eyes and looked at Brady curiously.
Seeing their confusion, Brady guessed Violet never taught them what a "daddy" was.
He felt a bit bummed and decided he needed to get custody of the kids.
Kids shouldn't be without a daddy.
"Do you want a daddy?" Brady asked gently again.
Henry and Nicole still blinked in confusion.
Brady felt a bit helpless and said, "You are the little darlings born to your mommy and daddy. Mommy loves you, and Daddy loves you too."
Henry kind of got it and asked in his cute voice, "Is it a man around Mommy?"
Brady frowned at little Henry. "Daddy is not just any man. Daddy is the man who had Henry and Nicole with Mommy. Do you get it?"
"And I am your daddy," he added.
Henry was a smart cookie. With Brady's patient explanation, he remembered the family scenes in cartoons and got it. He then said, "Mommy said 'Daddy' is a man living with mom."
Brady instantly understood why the kids were confused. It was Violet's doing!
Brady's eyes narrowed as he said, "I want to be your daddy. If you agree, can you nod for me?"
'Is Uncle Brady really our daddy?' Henry looked at Brady curiously. 'He is handsome and often buys me toys. If he is my daddy, I will be happy!'
Henry thought for a while and then nodded, agreeing to Brady's proposal.
Nicole, still confused, followed her brother's lead and nodded too.
Seeing the kids didn't reject him as their daddy, Brady turned to Taylor and said, "What would happen if I took the kids away now?"
