Chapter 816 Can a Man's Words Be Trusted
"What's up? Can't I mention him?" Brady's face softened with a doting smile, his voice gentle.
Could anyone tell if he was mad or not?
"No, I'm just curious why you brought him up today," Violet replied, smiling.
But then she remembered she had to sign a contract with Darian tomorrow!
"Do you know about the contract with him?"
Brady nodded, his tone still gentle and unreadable. "Yeah, I know. I just wanted to ask what kind of guy he is."
"After all, I do have a stake in JK, right? I'm worried he might mess things up."
Violet shook her head and wrapped her soft arms around his lean waist, speaking warmly, "Honey, don't worry, I won't let anyone ruin JK."
"As for Darian, I haven't interacted with him much. He's a year ahead of me. From what I remember, he's pretty enthusiastic and easygoing. We met during a school sports event. He was the designated representative, so we got to know each other a bit. We occasionally had meals together and talked about sports, but we didn't keep in touch much."
There were also some small gestures from him, like waiting for her after school.
Violet naturally didn't want to tell Brady about those.
Because she didn't pay much attention to Darian back then.
So it was something she could mention or not, as nothing significant happened.
Other than that, they didn't have much contact.
"Alright, I get it." Brady knew his dear wouldn't hide anything from him, so he didn't press further. "Have you taken a shower?"
"Not yet, I was just putting our little daughter to sleep," Violet said, relaxing a bit as he stopped asking about Darian.
"Then let's shower together," Brady said, pulling her up.
Violet blushed and hurriedly pushed him away. "She might wake up. You go first."
"She'll sleep for at least three hours. We'll be quick, I won't do anything," Brady coaxed her into the bathroom.
Of course, saying he wouldn't do anything?
That was a lie. Can you trust a man's words?
She was so naive.
In the end, she was pinned against the bathroom wall, forced to endure his passionate advances.
However, he was much gentler this time. She was unaccustomed at first, but later she was almost completely exhausted by him.
The next day, Violet had to prepare for the contract signing with Darian.
Their appointment was for around 2 PM, so she had plenty of time.
Violet went to the office early, double-checked the contract with Max, and then waited for the afternoon signing.
Meanwhile, at the boxing gym.
Brady arrived around 9 AM, changed into his usual boxing gear, grabbed a bottle of energy drink, and leaned against the boxing ring, waiting for Darian.
He wanted to see if Darian was a coward.
Would Darian dare to show up?
After waiting for about ten minutes, Darian arrived as scheduled.
He wore his usual clean white shirt paired with simple blue jeans and sneakers.
He looked very refined.
Darian entered the gym and immediately saw the handsome man leaning against the ropes of the boxing ring. His eyes instinctively narrowed.
Then he strode over.
Standing below the ring, Darian looked up at Brady, ready to take the initiative.
Just as he was about to speak, Brady beat him to it. "Mr. Voss, do you box?"
Darian didn't, but if he didn't accept the challenge, he wouldn't have the right to compete for Violet.
So he smirked and said, "No, but isn't that what Mr. Hall is here to help with?"
"Alright, then change and get in the ring," Brady smirked subtly and signaled to a bodyguard, who handed Darian a set of workout clothes.
Darian took the clothes without a word and headed to the locker room to change.
