Chapter 1014 Tonight You Don't Want to Go Anywhere, Tomorrow I'll Take You Somewhere

On the other side of town, in a high-rise luxury apartment.

After carrying Emily to the bed, Lucien called his family's private doctor to come over and check on her.

While waiting for the doctor, he went to the bathroom, grabbed a towel, soaked it in cold water, and wrung it out.

He placed the cool towel on her feverish forehead.

The cold sensation seemed to bring some relief to the groggy Emily.

But her body still felt uncomfortable.

It was a discomfort that felt like ants were gnawing at her, causing her immense pain.

She struggled to open her eyes, and the unfamiliar room decor came into view. It was a minimalist, luxurious style, and there was a man sitting by the bed, watching her.

Emily's vision was a bit blurry. She stared at Lucien for a while before finally recognizing him.

Her already dizzy head started spinning even more.

Biting her lip, she struggled to sit up in bed. Her face was burning hot, but the sudden surge of anger made it even redder. She tried to get out of bed, using both her hands and feet, and angrily stammered, "Why... did you bring me... here?"

"Where is this?"

"My place," Lucien replied, frowning as he saw her weakly trying to get out of bed. He pressed her shoulders down and said, "Lie down. Did you drink something Austin gave you? I'll have the doctor check you out in a bit."

"What did you say?" Emily, pinned down by him, could only look directly at him.

"Can't you feel it yourself? Your body is like this, and you still don't know what's going on?" Lucien said in a low, calm voice.

Of course, Emily could feel it. Her body felt strange, like she had an overwhelming desire to be intimate with a man... and her head was spinning, making her feel light and floaty.

But why would Austin give her something like that?

They were about to get engaged; there was no rush.

She wasn't unwilling to be with him.

Emily didn't believe it. "You're lying. He's not that kind of person."

"What would be the point of lying to you? If I lied, would you refuse him?" Lucien said indifferently.

Emily still didn't believe him and started hitting him. "You're lying! Let me go. I want to go home."

"You're not going anywhere tonight. Tomorrow, I'll take you somewhere," Lucien said, letting her hit him without budging.

Emily was getting desperate, but she was inexplicably drawn to Lucien's clean, bookish scent. His scent was different from Austin's.

Austin's scent was purely bookish, while Lucien's had an added layer of masculinity and cleanliness.

So she found herself wanting to get closer to him, but she couldn't really do that. She could only push him away, blushing in frustration with her body's honesty.

Her body seemed not to resist Lucien's proximity.

"Lucien, let me go home. My parents will be worried," Emily said, clinging to the last bit of her rationality.

"I already texted your mom from your phone," Lucien replied.

Emily wasn't too angry at first, but when he said that, she got furious and started pushing him with all her might. But a woman's strength was no match for a man's.

In their struggle, Emily accidentally fell into his arms.

Lucien's firm chest was strong and exuded a unique masculine scent. Emily couldn't help but let out a shameful whimper.

Her fingers clutched Lucien's collar tightly as she tried to escape his embrace.

But when she looked up, she found herself face-to-face with Lucien.

Their noses touched, and their lips met. Emily was startled and tried to pull away, but Lucien wouldn't let her.

He forcefully captured her soft, candy-like lower lip.

And began to kiss her deeply.
