Chapter 336 I Want to Kiss You
The next morning, Violet got up like usual for work. When she stepped out of her bedroom, she bumped into Emily, who was already up too. They linked arms and headed to the dining room for breakfast.
Hellen had breakfast ready for them.
"Come on, dig in," she said as they walked in.
"Aunt, why such a big breakfast today?" Emily asked, eyeing the spread with a smile.
The table was loaded—fried eggs, bacon, waffles, oatmeal, and sausages.
Hellen handed them forks and bowls. "You both need energy for work. Can't do that on an empty stomach."
"Our jobs aren't that exhausting," Emily said, already digging in.
Hellen turned to Violet. "Are the babies still asleep?"
Violet nodded. "Yeah, can you check on them? I'm worried they might fall when they wake up."
Hellen put down what she was holding, took off her apron, and went upstairs to check on the babies.
Meanwhile, Violet and Emily continued eating.
After a bit, Emily asked, "Need a ride to work?"
Thinking Brady was probably waiting nearby, Violet sighed inwardly and declined. "No, a colleague's picking me up today."
Emily looked puzzled. "Who? Brady?"
Violet was startled at the mention of Brady's name and quickly denied it. "No way. Ever since he found out Henry and Nicole aren't his kids, he hasn't really contacted me." She didn't want to tell Emily about her relationship with Brady yet, fearing judgment.
"It's a female designer from my department. We're working on a fashion show project and need to be on-site a lot."
Emily nodded. "Got it."
Violet added, "By the way, don't tell Aunt. I don't want her to worry. I haven't told her about going back to JK yet."
Emily nodded. "Don't worry, I won't say a word."
They continued eating. Meanwhile, outside, Brady waited patiently in the back seat of his Bentley for Violet.
About 10 minutes later, Violet, clutching her bag, sneaked over to his car. She quickly opened the door and slid inside, closing it behind her with a sense of urgency, as though fearing discovery.
Brady sat elegantly in the leather seat, legs crossed, watching her.
"Have you been waiting long?" Violet asked, catching her breath. She glanced around to ensure no one was watching, then relaxed slightly and turned her gaze to the quiet Brady beside her.
Without a word, Brady abruptly reached out, gripping the back of Violet’s neck. He pulled her toward him, and kissed her forcefully, not caring that the driver was in the front seat.
The kiss was intense, almost as if he were punishing her, devouring her lips with a sense of ownership.
After he had kissed her enough, Brady let go of Violet and in a low voice instructed the driver to start the car.
Violet had no idea what Brady's sudden kiss meant. Blushing slightly, she looked at him and asked, "Why did you do that all of a sudden?"
"Just felt like kissing you," Brady said slowly, his voice calm and emotionless.
Violet's surprise faded into acceptance. "Oh." She offered no further questions. After all, Brady had a tendency to act unpredictably.
"Do you still remember the yacht party this weekend?" Brady asked, his eyes fixed on Violet.
Violet nodded. "Yes, I remember."
"It will be an overnight stay. Are you okay with that?"
At the mention of an overnight stay, Violet hesitated, her ears turning red, but she didn't know what to say.
Because she knew it was bound to happen sooner or later.
Seeing her silence, Brady continued, "I'll take that as a yes."
Once the paternity test results were out, he really planned to "punish" Violet properly.
