Chapter 334 He Couldn't Wait to Know the Truth
Upon receiving this answer, he was floored. His usually calm eyes turned serious. Had she been hiding such a big secret from him all this time?
Both previous paternity tests didn't match, even the one from abroad. What kind of tricks was she pulling? Brady couldn't help but marvel at her cunning.
But now wasn't the time to dwell on that. To find out if Henry was really his kid, he decided to run a little experiment.
Brady gathered his thoughts, reached out to ruffle Henry's hair, and said, "Hey Henry, how about Uncle take you to Disneyland next time?"
As he spoke, he discreetly plucked a strand of Henry's hair while the boy clapped in excitement. He tucked the hair into his palm.
Hearing the word "Disneyland," Henry lit up. He didn't even notice his hair being plucked and said in his cute voice, "Really?"
Henry had just learned the word "really" from watching Peppa Pig on TV.
Looking at Henry's adorable face, Brady's heart melted. He nodded, "Of course, I never lie and never break promises."
He added, "You haven't been to Disneyland yet, right? There are lots of fun toys and games, though you're still too young for some rides. But that's okay, I can take you on the little train."
Hearing "little train," Henry got even more excited, and started clapping his chubby hands and spinning in a circle, imitating a train sound from a cartoon.
Brady's heart softened even more.
If Henry was really his son, he wouldn't leave Violet to care for Henry and Nicole alone. He'd give them all the love a father should.
While Brady was chatting with Henry, Hellen hurried over with Nicole.
Seeing Henry with Brady, she sighed in relief. She quickly grabbed Henry's hand and scolded, "Why did you run off? You could get hit by a car. Don't do that again, got it?"
Henry nodded, somewhat understanding.
Nicole looked at Brady. She liked this tall, handsome man; he was very gentle.
"Next time, use a child safety harness. I gave one to Violet; you can ask her for it. Put it on the kids, and you won't have to worry about them running off," Brady told Hellen.
Brady noticed Nicole's cute look and his heart softened again. He reached out to touch Nicole's hair and advised Hellen, "It was really dangerous just now. If we hadn't braked in time, we might have hit him."
Hellen was shocked, breaking out in a cold sweat. She quickly said, "Mr. Hall, thank you."
Hellen began to regret bringing the kids out and blamed herself.
She had been careless. Even in a safe estate, there was still traffic. She felt truly guilty.
Brady continued, "Be more careful next time."
"Okay, I'll remember." Hellen nodded repeatedly, taking the kids' hands. "Mr. Hall, we'll head back now."
"Alright." Brady didn't stop them. He just watched Hellen and the kids leave. He then looked at the strand of Henry's hair in his palm.
When he got back to his car, he immediately called Mr. Taylor, asking him to send the hair to the testing agency overnight.
He couldn't wait to know the truth.
