Chapter 948 Be Good, I Shouldn't Have Asked That Just Now, Don't Be Angry, Let Me Kiss You?
"Don't say that. Our future will be smooth sailing, and there won't be these troubles." Violet quickly covered his lips after applying the antiseptic, gently scolding, "I won't let anything happen to you."
Brady smiled, pulling her closer, his eyes filled with tenderness and affection.
In the future, everything would be smooth, happy, and safe.
Above them, the moonlight shimmered across the starry sky, blending with the sea mist and stretching out over the deep ocean.
Two hours later, it was the middle of the night.
Their speedboat finally reached the private island.
Everyone disembarked and headed to the villa to rest.
Violet and Brady, however, weren't in a hurry to go back. Hand in hand, they strolled along the soft sand, chatting under the moonlight.
After a few words and as the night deepened, they finally returned to the villa.
Upstairs, they began to wash up.
Violet pulled out towels and robes from the cabinet. "Do you want to go first?"
"Together?"
Hearing this, a faint blush spread across Violet's ears, but unlike before, she didn't refuse. Shyly nodding with a red face, she said, "You go start the water, I'll grab my towel."
"Alright." Brady's eyes softened with a different kind of tenderness, and he gave a sexy, slight smile before heading to the bathroom to run the water.
Once the tub was half-filled with warm water, Violet came in with her towel.
As soon as she entered, Brady couldn't wait to help her out of the white dress she wore for the ceremony, tossing it straight into the trash, finding it an eyesore.
Then, with a commanding presence, he lifted her and stepped into the filled bathtub with her.
As they settled in, the warm water splashed out, wetting the floor around them.
Violet laughed, "Can you be a bit gentler? The water's splashing everywhere."
"It's just a little water. Are you worried we won't have enough to bathe?" Brady teased, gently tapping her cute nose.
Violet, wanting to retaliate, reached out to pinch his high nose.
But before she could, the slippery tub caused her to lose her balance, and she fell right into his arms. Brady caught her, saying, "In such a hurry, my love?"
Violet blushed and glared at him, "Who's in a hurry?"
"You are..."
"I'm not." Violet continued to glare at him.
But as she glared, she went against her principles, sensibly wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning in closer, whispering, "Are you in a hurry?"
"I am," Brady said, lowering his head to kiss her lips.
The kiss was gentle, like kissing a piece of cotton candy, making Violet feel comfortable. She closed her eyes slightly, responding to his kiss, and softly whispered, "I was really scared at the ceremony."
"I was afraid I'd never see you again, never see our child."
"I was scared too, scared something would happen to you," Brady replied in a low voice.
"My love, from now on, I'll stick to you like glue, never leaving your side." This experience made her want to love Brady even more.
It also made her realize who she truly longed for.
"Alright." Brady responded softly, but then he deliberately asked, "Did anything else happen these past few days?"
Violet didn't catch his hint and moved her lips away, saying, "You know everything that happened these past few days."
"Miles seems to like you," Brady said, feigning jealousy.
Now, Violet understood. Was Brady suspecting her of being unfaithful? That was absolutely intolerable!
Violet's face fell instantly, and she said angrily, "What? Are you doubting my loyalty?"
"No, just asking." Brady saw she was angry and wrapped his long fingers around her waist, holding her close.
Violet really thought he was jealous and, in her anger, tried to push him away, "I don't need you to check. Nothing happened between us. If something had happened, I wouldn't have the dignity to come back to you."
"Do you really think I'm that foolish?" Brady laughed, genuinely amused by her. "Sweetheart, I shouldn't have asked that. Don't be mad. Can I have a kiss?"
Violet glared at him, her face a bit flushed, and bit her lip, "Get lost!"
But Brady held her tighter, his breath warm and lingering, "When we get back, I want to give you a grand wedding."
Because of the pregnancy and the birth of their child, their wedding had been delayed. Brady didn't want to wait any longer.
