Chapter 321 Leana Wants to Send Violet to Jail
But this time, Violet couldn't escape; Leana had meticulously set up this runway show just for her!
"Let me introduce you all; these are the designers from JK," the model supervisor, Victoria Lane, said with a spirited expression, clapping her hands. After introducing them to the models, she added, "And, a special introduction to Ms. Violet Devereux, who is your exclusive designer."
As soon as Victoria finished speaking, a round of applause, whether genuine or not, erupted.
"You can get to know each other," Victoria continued. "Next, we'll draw lots to form groups. Since we have five designers, we'll split into five groups, each with four models."
"If there are no objections, let's start," Victoria instructed the staff to bring out the glass box for the draw.
The drawing process took five minutes, and everyone had their lot paper in hand.
They checked the numbers and went to find their assigned designers to chat with.
Violet thought the chances of drawing the same lot as Leana were slim, but to her surprise, they did end up together.
Violet's face changed slightly but she didn't show it. When Leana approached, she greeted her proactively, "Hello, looking forward to working with you."
Leana indeed planned to "work closely" with her, raising her lips in a cold smile. "Ms. Devereux, let's collaborate well from now on."
Violet sensed the coldness and hostility in her words and wisely nodded without saying much.
As for the other three models, they had no conflicts with Violet, so they chatted with her warmly.
After chatting for a while, Emily called. Violet stepped aside to answer. "Hello, Emily, what's up?"
Emily excitedly said on the other end, "I have good news, the paternity test results are out, it's all good."
"Really?" Violet was stunned, then felt a weight lift off her shoulders.
Emily continued, "Why would I lie to you? You don't have to worry anymore; the kids won't be taken by the Hall family."
Violet nodded. "Thank you for helping me. I'll treat you to dinner tonight."
"Sure, no problem," Emily said happily. "You're still busy, right? Then I won't keep you."
"Okay, see you later," Violet said.
After the call, Violet felt extremely relieved. Brady couldn't go back on his word now, could he? It had been verified twice; if there was a third time, she would outright refuse.
Violet stood in the hallway for a moment, took a deep breath, and returned to the runway.
The workload this afternoon wasn't heavy, mainly discussing the runway concepts with the models and letting them get familiar with each other.
So compared to the tense atmosphere of drawing design drafts in the office, it was quite pleasant here.
But the lurking danger was still there. While Violet was chatting with the other models, Leana came over and said, "Ms. Devereux, there is a design question I need your help with. Can you come over?"
"What is it?" Violet didn't have a good impression of Leana, so she kept her distance.
Leana replied, "I want you to look at a new dress."
Violet hesitated. "Where?"
"Just a little ahead," Leana said, leading the way. Violet, seeing this, couldn't refuse and followed.
They soon reached a rack with dresses hanging on it. Leana casually picked a long dress and tried it on, saying, "Ms. Devereux, how does this dress look on me?"
"Pretty good," Violet said.
"Can you get me a gold dress please?" Leana's eyes hinted at a hidden scheme.
Violet reluctantly fetched it for her. While she was getting it, Leana, using her height advantage, secretly slipped a diamond necklace worth $1 million into Violet's dress pocket.
There were no cameras here. Leana couldn't wait to see how Violet would explain "stealing the necklace."
Moreover, she didn't care if Violet was Brady's woman; she was determined to send her to jail!
