"Who coerced you?"
"My colleague Fanny. She has been threatening me to help her kill Ms. Devereux because Ms. Devereux is about to go to Elysium Springs with Mr. Green for a design exhibition, and Fanny's name isn't on the participant list. So she wanted to kill Ms. Devereux and take her place."
"Without evidence; how can we believe you?" The investigating officer needed evidence.
"Alright," Laura said calmly, "Call my attorney; the evidence is with her."
Laura had long known that this day would come, so she had prepared in advance.
She had used Fanny's voice to create a synthesized recording.
Fanny was now in a vegetative state, unable to speak or have any awareness, and she would never wake up.
