Chapter 42 Lilian picks again
Brady suddenly felt a headache. He really hadn't been feeling well these past couple of days.
"Is that all?" Brady was a little surprised. He thought it would be a bigger matter.
"I will arrange it for you," Brady said, sitting back at his desk.
"Do you have any candidates in mind?" Arthur continued to ask.
Brady thought for a moment and, for some reason, the first person that came to his mind wasn't Max, the experienced designer at JK, nor any other senior designer. It was Violet.
Damn it, why was he thinking of her again?
Brady suddenly felt his headache worsen. He really hadn't been well lately.
Why did he always think of Violet whenever something came up?
Thinking about her soft and rosy lips.
Even though he disliked women like her, why was he still reminiscing about her?
"What's wrong with you?" Seeing Brady lost in thought, Arthur couldn't help but lean in and look at his face. "Why are you zoning out?"
"It's nothing." Brady snapped back to reality, his gaze returning to a calm state as he looked at Arthur.
"So, who do you plan to recommend?"
He was more concerned about this.
His cousin's wedding date was approaching, and he really needed a professional designer with a good eye.
"I'll ask the JK side later. If there are suitable candidates, I will notify you right away."
"Alright, thank you."
"No need to be polite with me."
Meanwhile, at JK Design Company.
Violet had just finished researching what kind of hat to design for Mr. Hall's grandmother as per her request last night.
Lilian arrived.
She now works in the public relations department for the Hall family. The department is not very busy but has a lot of prestige. Occasionally, they need to hold a media briefing or something similar.
This kind of attention-seeking department suited a woman like Lilian.
Her visit to JK was not just for a stroll or to specifically see Violet.
It was to stir up trouble.
Of course, she had to find a valid reason to do so. Conveniently, the public relations department needed to carry out an activity today, and all the other departments were busy.
She came over to ask JK to assign someone to assist her.
Lilian would naturally not miss this opportunity to deliberately humiliate and boss Violet around.

Max had no idea about the grudges between Violet and Lilian.

When Violet saw Lilian, her entire mood changed.
Not to mention, Max agreed to let her accompany Lilian to the Public Relations Department to help out.
This time, no matter what, she would not agree, so she said, "Mr. Green, I don't feel well today. Can I not go?"
"Not feeling well?" Max heard that she wasn't feeling well and his concern for her grew.
"Where are you feeling unwell?"
He didn't even care about making her help Lilian.
Lilian knew that Violet was pretending, but she couldn't guess that Max would actually be on her side.
So, she disdainfully said, "Miss Devereux, as soon as I came to borrow someone from JK, you suddenly feel unwell? What a coincidence?"
"Why would I pretend? If say that I am unwell, then of course, I am." Violet replied confidently.
Lilian's expression changed, she looked extremely contemptuous, pretending like she didn't know Violet was faking it.
When she came in just now, she looked perfectly fine.
And now, when she's asked to do some work, she fakes illness?
Lilian wouldn't let her off easily, mockingly saying, "Miss Devereux, is it that you dislike our Public Relations Department? You don't want to come?"
"How could I dislike it?" Violet coldly stared at her, tightly gripping her palm.
"In that case, then come with me, please"
"I said I'm not feeling well."
"Miss Devereux."
This time, Max spoke up. "Let me rearrange someone for you, she's not feeling well."
When Lilian heard Mr. Green was actually helping Violet, she became even more furious.
