Chapter 278 The Doctor Suggested a Brain CT for Peace of Mind

After running out of the boxing gym, Violet hailed a taxi and called Hellen. Hellen answered quickly, and Violet anxiously asked, "Hellen, get ready. I'm on my way back now. How is Nicole?"
"She's fine now, just a bit shaken. I've been holding her," Hellen replied.
"Keep an eye on her for any symptoms of vomiting or drowsiness. I should be back soon," Violet instructed.
"Okay, I will," Hellen assured her.
"Is Emily at home?" Violet asked. Emily had recently moved back in with them, but she had a busy social life and might not always come home immediately after work. Her presence would make it easier to get to the hospital.
"Emily hasn't come back yet," Hellen said while holding Nicole. "Violet, how long until you're back? Should Henry and I head out first?"
"My taxi just arrived. I'll be there in about 20 minutes," Violet said, quickly getting into the car and giving the driver the address. "Bring Nicole out in 20 minutes. For now, just keep an eye on her."
"Okay, I'll wait for you," Hellen replied, hanging up the phone to focus on caring for Nicole.
Violet sat in the taxi, anxiously worrying about her daughter.
In less than 20 minutes, the taxi arrived at Ashbourne Manor. Violet didn't get out but called Hellen to bring Nicole outside.
Hellen quickly carried Nicole and hurried out of the mansion with Henry. At the entrance, Violet got out of the car and took the frightened Nicole from Hellen's arms. "Nicole, it's Mommy. Does anything hurt?" she asked gently.
Nicole whimpered softly and clung tightly to Violet, unable to speak.
Violet gently touched Nicole's forehead where a band-aid covered her injury, kissed her tenderly, and carried her into the car, with Hellen and Henry following closely behind.
The car sped through the brightly lit streets, heading towards the hospital.
At the hospital, Nicole remained scared and silent in Violet's arms. Seeing this, Hellen felt a deep sense of regret and guilt. She had been busy tidying up the living room that evening and didn't notice the two little ones sneaking to play on the stairs. Nicole had accidentally fallen from the fifth step, hitting her forehead on the marble floor, which resulted in a scrape, bruising, and bleeding. Nicole cried in pain, and Hellen quickly cleaned her wound. Shocked, Nicole stopped talking, prompting Hellen to call Violet immediately.
On the way to the hospital, Hellen hoped everything would be fine with Nicole, or she would blame herself terribly.
"Violet, I'm sorry I didn't take better care of Nicole," Hellen said, starting to repent as they entered the emergency department with Henry.
Violet didn't blame Hellen. Taking care of children was exhausting, and Hellen was helping with two. The fall was an accident. "Aunt, don't blame yourself. It was an accident," Violet reassured her gently. "Let's focus on finding a doctor."
Hellen nodded, setting aside her self-blame. "You're right. Let's find a doctor."
They registered and found a doctor, who conducted a thorough examination of Nicole. The doctor concluded that she was mostly just shocked and a bit dazed but should be fine after a good night's sleep.
However, the doctor suggested that if they were still worried, they could do a brain CT to check for any potential concussion.
Violet agreed with the doctor's suggestion, feeling that a CT scan would provide peace of mind.
