Chapter 207 Stirring Scandal

As Brady led the way into his sleek black Bentley, they swiftly exited the underground parking lot. Left behind, Lilian stood frozen, her gaze ablaze with a jealous fury that was firmly fixed on the departing vehicle.

Snapping back to reality, she hastily clambered back into her own car, igniting the engine to give chase. She was resolute in her mission to uncover the truth of Violet's relationship with Brady Hall.

The venue chosen for their meeting was a discreet establishment. Yet, it was high-end and sophisticated, a preferred dining location for celebrities and magnates.

Upon Violet and Brady's arrival, the waiter immediately recognized Brady and enthusiastically guided them to their reserved table by the window.

As they made themselves comfortable, Violet initially positioned herself across from Brady. However, he met her with a scrutinizing gaze and instructed, "Come sit next to me."

Violet's lips tightened, her expression a blend of caution and reluctance. "Mr. Hall, that would be inappropriate," she protested. She was well aware that dining with Brady Hall was never a simple affair.

Brady, perceptive of her apprehension, picked up a glass of water from the table, took a measured sip, and calmly retorted, "You want me to sit with Loraine? To stoke the fires of gossip?"

Violet frowned; this was not her intention at all! Surely, Loraine Plahn could join them at the table?

"Wouldn't it be more suitable if I sat with Loraine?" she suggested.

Brady, a seasoned veteran of the business world, was not one to be easily swayed by such trivial tactics. His response was sharp and clear, leaving Violet without a counterargument.

As a newcomer to the professional world, she was indeed inexperienced and naive. Dealing with Brady Hall was beyond her abilities. Thus, after a moment's hesitation, she dutifully relocated to sit beside the imposing man.

Once seated, the close proximity allowed Violet to detect the faint scent of mint and tobacco wafting from Brady, a cool contrast to his strong masculine aura. She tensed slightly, feeling somewhat uncomfortable. However, she kept her discomfort hidden, fearing Brady might misconstrue her reaction. So, she sat up straight, maintaining a safe distance.

Less than ten minutes later, Loraine Plahn made her entrance, followed closely by Lilian, who had stealthily trailed her there. Not daring to draw attention to herself, Lilian chose a more concealed corner from which to observe the unfolding scene.

As she watched, Lilian began to speculate. If Brady was indeed involved with Violet, why invite Loraine Plahn? It couldn't possibly be a date. Earlier that morning, there had been a breach of client confidentiality at the Hall family's company, an issue directly involving celebrity Loraine Plahn. And the person responsible for the leak was none other than Violet.

Could Brady be using this meeting as a form of apology? It seemed plausible.

After much conjecture, Lilian convinced herself that they weren't dating; it was merely Violet attempting to catch Brady's eye.

'Look at how she deliberately chose that attention-grabbing dress. Despicable! The lengths she would go to secure Brady Hall's attention… Downright shameless!' Lilian silently cursed Violet until her anger subsided enough for her to order her meal, all the while planning to continue her surveillance.

Just then, her phone rang; the head of public relations was summoning her back for a meeting. A meeting scheduled right before lunch, of all times. Reluctant but unable to refuse her supervisor's insistence, the young heiress had no choice but to abandon her meal and discreetly exit the restaurant.

Meanwhile, at Violet's table, as soon as Loraine took her seat, Violet wasted no time in offering her a sincere apology. "Loraine, I'm sorry about what happened this morning."

Loraine, however, was not interested in apologies. Her brother Brady had already briefed her about the incident, so she didn't pay much heed to this one. All she wanted now was to find a solution.

With a slight sigh, she reassured Violet, "It's okay, I don't think it was your doing."

Violet hadn't expected Loraine to trust her. She was taken aback, having anticipated a scolding that never came. Grateful, she expressed her thanks, "Loraine, thank you for believing me."

"But there's one thing I've been trying to figure out – how did the photo of my wedding dress get leaked?" Loraine glanced at the man sitting next to Violet, who seemed like a knight in shining armor, then turned toward Violet to pose her question.
