Chapter 1037 This Time She Arranged to JK, Planning to Continue Approaching Brady?
Aria got some help from Matilda, who kindly stayed with her for lunch and then took a walk together.
When they reached the garden gazebo of the villa, Matilda invited Aria to sit down and have coffee with her, as she needed to make a call to Violet to ask for a favor.
Aria had no objections and sat with Matilda in the gazebo, sipping coffee and enjoying some snacks while waiting to see how Matilda would assist her.
Matilda dialed Violet's number calmly.
Violet had just returned to the Hart Villa with Emily and hadn't even sat down on the couch when Matilda's call came through.
"Hey, Grandma, what's up?" Violet answered, stepping aside to take the call.
Matilda, sipping her freshly brewed coffee, cheerfully said, "Violet, I have a favor to ask. I hope it's not too much trouble?"
Violet would never mind Matilda asking for help. "Grandma, you don't need to be so formal. Whatever you need, I'm here for you."
"It's about Aria. You know her, right? She wants to join your company, JK, for some experience. Would you be willing to take her in?" Matilda glanced at Aria and added, "She's had a tough childhood and has struggled a lot. Now that she's finally getting through it, we should help her if we can."
Violet listened, her delicate brows gradually furrowing.
In her mind, Matilda's words brought up the image of Aria's strikingly beautiful and intense face, along with the noticeable tattoo on her right arm.
She didn't quite fit the image of a poor, struggling girl.
Besides, wasn't her bridal shop doing well?
Why the sudden interest in joining JK?
Violet suspected ulterior motives.
"Violet, are you disagreeing?" Matilda asked, concerned by Violet's silence.
Violet gathered her thoughts and replied, "No, Grandma. You want me to help her, right?"
Matilda didn't deny it. "Yes, I want you to help her."
"Her shop is doing okay, but it's still just a small business. She feels there's no future staying there forever." Matilda wasn't very knowledgeable about these things, but she believed it when Aria said there was no future.
"Alright, let her come to JK." Violet couldn't refuse Matilda's request.
"That's great, Violet." Matilda felt relieved that the matter was settled.
"Mrs. Hall, I have some things to take care of here. I'll come see you when I'm free."
Matilda smiled at Aria, "Alright, you go ahead. I won't keep you." Helping this poor girl was a way to continue her late husband's legacy of kindness.
Violet hung up the phone, feeling a slight throbbing at her temples and her eyes darkening.
Aria seemed far from innocent.
From the moment she schemed to get Violet to buy a wedding dress, she had been steadily making her way into the Hall family's circle.
Every move she made was calculated and perfectly timed.
She was a master strategist.
Violet had never encountered such a skilled woman before. She wondered if Aria's plan to join JK was to get closer to Brady or to undermine her.
Regardless of her intentions, Violet wouldn't let her succeed.
Putting her phone back in her bag, Violet composed herself and continued to wait with Emily at the Hart family home for Austin to arrive.
Even though the negotiation hadn't started yet, Violet had a feeling it would be challenging.
They sat on the living room couch for a while.
Elodie then helped Douglas down from the study on the second floor.
Their faces showed worry and anger.
Emily saw them and instinctively pressed her lips together, fearing the worst.
Douglas looked genuinely furious.
