Chapter 672 Will Never Forgive Her

Juniper felt utterly ashamed as she returned to her hotel suite and collapsed onto the bed, silently suffering.

She had always thought Violet was the daughter of her father's mistress, believing Violet's mother to be the wicked other woman.

But the truth was, Violet's mom and dad had known each other long before her own mother came into the picture.

So, in the end, it was her dad who had wronged Violet's mom.

It was her dad's fault.

Juniper didn't want to accept this reality.

She had always held her dad in high regard, seeing him as a strong, upright man.

She never imagined he could have wronged Violet's mom and abandoned her.

This stark contrast was too much for her to handle.

She felt extremely distressed, her stomach churning as if she were about to throw up.

But even if she wanted to, she couldn't actually vomit.

Juniper could only continue lying there. After a while, feeling even worse, she decided to call her mom across the ocean.

She wanted to ask if her mom knew about her dad's past.

After all, her mom would find out sooner or later.

With this thought, Juniper quickly got up from the bed and called her mom in Eldoria.

The phone rang a few times.

Helen answered quickly, her voice a mix of affection and sternness. "Juniper, tell me why you went to Crestoria."

Lately, her husband, son, and precious daughter had all been acting strange.

One by one, they had all gone back to Crestoria.

And they were keeping her in the dark about why.

How could she not be upset?

"Nothing much, just think of it as a vacation," Juniper replied weakly.

Her voice sounded listless.

Helen frowned slightly on the other end, continuing to complain, "I called your brother, and he said it was nothing. I called your dad, and his assistant said he was busy. What are you all up to?"

"Mom." Juniper sniffled, deciding to talk about it.

"Go ahead."

"Mom, do you know about Dad's past relationships?"

Past relationships? Helen didn't immediately realize Juniper was referring to something from over 20 years ago, so she asked, puzzled, "What are you talking about? What past relationships could your dad have?"

"Promise you won't get mad if I tell you?" Juniper was worried her mom wouldn't be able to handle the news.

"Okay, I won't get mad. Go ahead." Helen was curious to hear what secret her daughter had uncovered.

"Dad had a girlfriend 20 years ago, right?" Juniper took a deep breath and said slowly, "Did you know about this?"

"A girlfriend?" Helen frowned, her thoughts beginning to rewind.

"Her name is Evelyn."

The name was not unfamiliar to Helen. In fact, she knew it all too well, and hearing it now made her freeze in place.

How did her daughter suddenly know about Evelyn?

And her son and husband. They had all gone back at the same time. Were they looking for Evelyn?

The thought made Helen tremble.

She felt as if she had fallen into an ice pit, her whole body shaking.

After all these years, was Evelyn planning to take revenge?

Helen was terrified. She knew that if her husband found out the truth, he would never forgive her.

He would hate her.

Her husband's true love had always been Evelyn.

If she hadn't approached Evelyn back then, she might never have married James.

"Mom? Are you still there?" The silence on the other end made Juniper panic. She worried her mom would get upset and it might affect her health.

"I'm listening." Helen snapped back to reality, her voice trembling.

"Mom, don't be mad. Dad will handle this," Juniper tried to comfort her.

"Your dad really went to find her?" Helen was stunned, her heart aching.

So, they had gone back for a reason.
