Chapter 340 He Might Mistreat Her Again
"David, Violet's my designer, not an actress," Amelia said with a forced smile. "If you're looking for an actress, I can recommend someone."
Amelia shot a look at Mia, signaling her to take Violet to the car. Mia got the hint and gently pulled Violet away.
David frowned. He wanted Violet to act. "Your designer looks great. Why not try convincing her?"
Since Sophie's scenes were scheduled for later, they could film other parts first.
Seeing David's determination, Amelia felt annoyed but hid it. "Alright, I'll try, but if she's firm about not acting, we can't force her, right?"
David nodded. "Of course! We're not kidnappers."
After talking to David, Amelia returned to the van. Inside, Violet had her design drafts ready. "Ms. Garcia, here's what I finished last night. Let me know if there's anything you don't like."
Amelia squinted at the drafts, took them, and glanced over. "I don't like it. Do another one, and hurry. I need it by next month."
Violet felt frustrated. "Ms. Garcia, can you be more specific? Without clear requirements, I can't meet your expectations."
"Watch your tone, Ms. Devereux! I might file a complaint. If you can't handle the job, don't take it. Or maybe you should consider acting; David needs someone, after all," Amelia snapped, venting her frustration.
Violet stayed calm. "Ms. Garcia, I'm just suggesting that without clear guidelines, my designs won't match your vision."
Amelia looked at her with disdain. "Aren't you a designer? Do you need me to hold your hand and guide you through the designs?"
"Fine, but time's tight. If you don't think it's urgent, I can keep designing. But if you're never satisfied, maybe JK should assign another designer to you. I can finish the drafts in a few days, but the dress will take half a month. Your call," Violet said.
"And don't worry, I'm not interested in acting," Violet added confidently, then left the van.
Amelia was speechless, her face souring. As soon as Violet left, Amelia started cursing. "Who does she think she is?"
"Amelia, calm down. The designer has a point. You don't have much time," Mia said, not siding with Violet but acknowledging the truth. Amelia had an event next month.
Rushing a dress in just half a month was already a tight squeeze..
If Amelia kept being picky, it would just waste more time.
Amelia sneered. She finally understood why Aiden cared about Violet. She seemed gentle but had a strong personality.
"Calm down and focus on the dress. If you really don't like Violet, just change the designer," Mia suggested.
"No need to change," Amelia said, calming herself. "Aiden's given me enough grief. Can't I at least boss around someone he cares about?"
Mia felt this was risky. If Aiden found out, he might mistreat Amelia again. The wounds from last time had just healed.
