Chapter 810 She Can Endure, but Not Nathan

"Forget it, let's not talk about her. I've got some stuff to handle. I'll cover the coffee," Arthur glanced at his watch. He had a meeting soon and couldn't hang out with Brady any longer.

"Let's head out together. My baby needs to be fed." Brady gently picked up the baby, who was starting to fuss and cry, and stood up with Arthur.

"Alright, let's go," Arthur said, striding towards the exit.

As they passed by Diana's table, Diana was smiling at Nathan, but out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of that familiar tall figure. Instinctively, she froze.

She looked up, staring blankly at Arthur as he walked by.

Her whole body tensed up as if facing a great enemy, watching him without moving.

What was he doing here?

If he found out she was meeting another man so soon after her husband's death, would he tell Kade's father? They would go after Nathan. The thought sent a chill down Diana's spine.

She knew Arthur would do it because he hated her.

Thinking about this, Diana found it hard to stay calm.

Her hands, resting on the table, slowly clenched in fear, her face turning pale and stiff.

Nathan, sitting across from her, noticed her unnatural state and thought she was unwell. He naturally reached out, across the table, and gently touched Diana's forehead.

"What's wrong? Are you feeling sick?"

Diana was still staring at Arthur, forgetting to push Nathan's hand away. She softly replied, "No, I'm fine."

"But you don't look well."

"I just saw someone I know," Diana said, biting her lip slowly.

"Who?" Nathan withdrew his hand and instinctively looked around. Besides two handsome men passing by their table, there was no one special.

But he quickly realized that he wouldn't know Diana's acquaintances.

How silly.

"It's nothing." Arthur quickly walked past their table, and Diana swiftly looked away, feeling a bit troubled.

She feared Arthur would tell her uncle about this.

She could endure the Fawn and Stanley families' manipulation, but she didn't want Nathan to get involved.

So, after thinking it over, Diana decided to take the initiative and talk to Arthur.

"Nathan, I'm going to say hi to my relative. Wait for me," Diana said, her face returning to normal.

Nathan didn't object, smiling and nodding, "Alright, go ahead."

"Okay." Diana stood up and quickly ran out of the café.

Outside, Arthur and Brady were about to take the elevator to the underground parking lot to get their car.

Diana chased after them, ignoring her usual fear of Arthur, boldly blocking his path, and said, panting, "Arthur, can I talk to you?"

Arthur had no interest in talking to her; his voice cold, "I'm busy."

He pressed the elevator button.

Soon, with a ding, the elevator doors opened.

Arthur was about to step in, but Diana, desperate, bit her lip and used her small body to block his way, "Arthur, I need to talk to you."

"Arthur, I'll go ahead. You two have a good chat," Brady glanced at Diana, then at his displeased friend, patted Arthur's shoulder, and stepped into the elevator.

He pressed the close button.

The elevator doors closed.

Arthur frowned, his eyes filled with a frightening anger, and said coldly, "Alright, what do you want to talk about?"
