Chapter 975 She Shouldn't Have Agreed Impulsively, What Exactly Is She Angry About?

In the afternoon, Brady had some business to take care of, so he headed back to the office.

Violet went home to look after the kids.

The baby could smile at her now, and every time Violet held her, she would look up with her big, beautiful eyes and giggle.

Violet's heart melted every time.

Hellen noticed that Violet had been busy with wedding preparations lately and worried she might be exhausted. So, while Violet was with the baby, Hellen went to the kitchen to make her a nutritious soup.

Once it was ready, Hellen carefully brought it to Violet and said, "Hey Violet, let me hold the baby for a bit. You should drink this soup while it's hot. It'll do you good."

Violet was just thinking about having something to soothe her throat, so she gently handed the baby to Hellen and picked up the bowl of soup, sipping it slowly.

As she drank, Henry and Nicole saw her and wanted some too, tugging at her to share.

Violet asked the nanny and the servants to go to the kitchen and get two more bowls for them.

"How is it? Does it taste good?" Hellen asked, feeling satisfied as she watched them enjoy the soup.

Violet took a couple more sips and said, "It's pretty good." She never doubted Hellen's cooking skills.

"I'm glad you like it. By the way, Violet... when are you going to name the baby?" Hellen felt it was a bit odd to keep calling her "the baby."

But it was a matter for Violet and Brady, so Hellen didn't want to interfere too much.

She just mentioned it occasionally.

"Brady said Matilda went to the church to pray and get a blessing for the baby. She wants to consult the priest before deciding on a name," Violet explained. She and Brady had planned to name the baby themselves, but they couldn't refuse Matilda's devout wish to pray and seek the priest's advice, so they let her go ahead.

Hellen nodded, gently touching the baby's chubby little hand, and smiled, "Great, then we'll finally be able to call her by her name."

Violet continued sipping her sweet soup.

After a while, her phone buzzed.

Violet put down the bowl and checked her phone. It was that annoying class group chat again.

Violet was considering leaving the group.

Suddenly, Flynn, the class president, tagged her, [Violet, it's Flynn. Are you and Emily free to join our class reunion this weekend?]

Violet didn't want to go. She hadn't kept in touch with them for ages: [Flynn, I'm not sure if I'll be free.]

Flynn was eager for everyone to attend and didn't want her to decline, [Violet, come on, give me some respect? Emily will be there too. It won't be fun without you.]

Violet frowned, doubting Flynn's words. Why would Emily agree to such a reunion?

[Flynn, let me check with Emily.]

Flynn responded, [Sure, ask her. Remember, it's this Saturday at 7:30 PM at Superstar Club!]

Violet immediately messaged Emily: [Emily, did you agree to go to our high school reunion?]

Emily was sitting in her office chair, staring blankly at some documents, when she saw Violet's message. Feeling a bit bored, she replied, [Yeah, I did.]

Violet was puzzled. [We used to be at odds with them.]

Not just at odds, but they had also faced bullying from Willow and her clique.

Emily wasn't sure why she agreed either. Maybe it was seeing Lucien's photo in the group chat that made her feel upset.

She impulsively agreed.

Now, she regretted it.

She shouldn't have acted on impulse. What was she even angry about?

Emily sighed and replied, [Did you see the group chat? I saw Lucien's photo and got really mad... then I impulsively agreed to Flynn's invitation. Now I regret it.]

Violet hadn't checked the group chat, so she quickly scrolled through the messages.

She saw Lucien's handsome photo and Willow's claim that she was dating him.
