Chapter 914 Do You Want Me to Find Another Man to Be Their Dad
When the cabin door finally opened, Diana approached cautiously and asked, "Mrs. Hall, is something wrong?"
She didn't have to care about Arthur, but she couldn't help asking.
Violet shook her head, not wanting to cause worry or panic. "It's nothing. I just forgot something. You all go back home first. I'll catch the next flight."
Diana suspected something might be up, but knew she wouldn't get off the plane, so she just glanced outside before returning to the cabin.
Once Diana was back inside, Violet quickly descended the already lowered stairs.
As soon as she was off the plane, the cabin door closed again, and the plane began to accelerate down the runway, soon taking off into the sky.
The roar of the engines made the three men, who had already walked some distance away, turn back.
Brady saw Violet standing on the runway.
A cloud of frustration and anxiety immediately darkened Brady's eyes.
Why couldn't Violet just listen?
Didn't she understand what kind of organization they were dealing with?
"Brady, you stay here. Eddy and I will go check on Julie to make sure those people don't get close to him," Arthur said, glancing at Violet as she slowly walked toward them. He patted Brady's shoulder.
Brady could only nod helplessly. "You guys go ahead."
Arthur and Eddy exchanged a knowing look and tactfully stepped away.
When Violet reached Brady, he was visibly angry, his handsome face clouded with frustration. He wanted to pull her close and make her leave immediately.
He was genuinely angry and scared for her safety, more than his own.
Even if he died, he couldn't bear for anything to happen to her.
Why couldn't she just listen?
"Why did you get off the plane? Didn't I tell you not to?" Brady said coldly, his face stern.
Violet knew he was angry, but she didn't care. She didn't want to live in a world without Brady.
Even if it was selfish, she wanted to stay with him, no matter what.
"I want to be with you," Violet said, her lips pressing together as she moved closer to him, trying to calm him down.
"Honey, I told you I have things to handle here. Please, go back," Brady's icy tone softened involuntarily as she leaned into him.
But he was still upset.
"I'm calling to arrange another plane for you. Wait here," Brady said, pulling out his phone to make the call.
Violet snatched the phone from him. "Don't call. I want to stay with you. I'm not leaving."
Seeing the anger in his eyes, Violet gently smoothed his furrowed brow with her hand.
"Don't worry. I won't be a burden. I just want to be by your side."
"I know Julie might get hurt, and I know the organization you're up against is dangerous. But do you think I could just take the kids and run away, knowing you're in danger?"
She couldn't do it.
Brady wanted to yell, but couldn't bring himself to. He just held her tightly, gritting his teeth. "If something happens to me, it's fine. But you can't get hurt. What about the kids if something happens to you?"
Violet smiled, deliberately provoking him. "You know what would happen to the kids if something happened to me. But if something happens to you, do you want me to find another man to be their dad?"
"Every day, he'd be with me, and Henry, Nicole, and the baby would call him Dad?"
