Chapter 904 She Doesn't Dare to Like Brady Anymore
The island was nice and all, but it just didn't have the energy of a big city.
Deep down, Dora missed the city's vibrant life. So, she let Violet have her moment, knowing that once Julie became Brady's wife, she'd get a good laugh out of it.
Dora stewed over this for a bit, then went to use the mixer to beat some eggs.
Violet stood by, watching her.
As soon as Dora finished beating a bowl of eggs, Violet grabbed the bowl and splashed it all over Dora.
In an instant, the yellow egg mixture drenched Dora's brightly colored dress.
The suddenness of it left Dora, Julie, and everyone else in the room stunned.
They stared wide-eyed at the beautiful Violet.
Why did she do that?
"Mrs. Hall, why'd you throw that at me?" Dora was the first to recover, quickly grabbing a cloth to wipe the egg off her dress while trying to control her anger.
"What do you think?" Violet asked with a deliberate smile.
Dora had no idea why. She looked innocent as she said, "Mrs. Hall, if you're looking for trouble, there's nothing I can do."
Violet sneered, "That's right, I am looking for trouble. But why don't you think about why I'm picking on you and not someone else?"
Dora was taken aback.
What did Violet mean?
"Mrs. Hall, please don't be mad. Did Dora do something wrong?" Julie, who had a good relationship with Dora, couldn't help but speak up for her.
Violet turned to Julie and said calmly, "I'll tell Bob later that you don't need to work here anymore. The Hall family doesn't tolerate servants who gossip and try to replace me as Mrs. Hall."
Julie's face turned red, and her beautiful blue eyes looked nervously at Violet.
Did she hear something?
Dora was equally shocked. No wonder Violet was picking on her today.
Did she overhear their conversation?
Realizing this, Dora immediately pleaded, "Mrs. Hall, I was just talking nonsense. Please don't take it seriously. I need this job."
Violet didn't believe her.
The fact that Dora could incite Julie meant she had always thought that way.
So, she wouldn't relent. "I'm sorry, but I don't want you to stay here."
With that, Violet turned to another maid who was standing there, stunned. "You, come help me prepare breakfast for Brady."
The maid snapped out of it and quickly came over to help.
Today, she had witnessed Violet's authority. Who would dare to gossip behind her back now?
Violet then walked past Dora and approached Julie. "Julie, come help us, too."
Julie, already blushing, turned even redder and lowered her head. "Violet, I'm sorry."
"It's okay. Just remember, Brady will only ever have one wife," Violet said gently.
Knowing about Julie's feelings, Violet couldn't bring herself to dislike her.
Julie was simple, and it was normal to like someone.
Julie, realizing that Violet knew her feelings, felt even more embarrassed and lowered her head further. "I'm sorry. I won't dare to think about it anymore."
"Don't worry about it. Let's just prepare breakfast together," Violet said, gently patting her shoulder.
Julie nodded and followed her to make breakfast.
Even though Violet didn't hate her, she felt very guilty.
From now on, she wouldn't dare to like Brady anymore.
