Chapter 427 Brady Didn't Want to Get Rough with Him because He's Now a Father

The reporter's face went pale, and his voice trembled as he stammered, "Mr. Hall, please, don't do this."

He was just doing his job, snapping photos by chance.

But Brady wasn't in the mood for chit-chat. "Take down the news, or you'll face the consequences!" he barked.

The reporter nodded frantically, knowing he could lose more than just his job. "Mr. Hall, I need to call my editor-in-chief. Only he can take it down."

"Then call him now," Brady said, twirling a sword sculpture in his hand.

The sculpture looked so real, like it could pierce the reporter's heart any second.

The more the reporter thought about it, the more terrified he got. He regretted ever getting involved. Without wasting another second, he dialed his editor-in-chief.

The call connected.

The editor-in-chief was ready to congratulate him on the scoop, but the reporter cut him off, "Take down the news now! We can't mess with Mr. Hall."

The editor-in-chief, unaware of the situation, scoffed, "What's the big deal? These rich folks don't care about this stuff."

"Please, Mr. Hall is not someone to mess with," the reporter pleaded, genuinely scared.

"Relax, it's just news. Brady's too busy to care," the editor-in-chief replied, sounding annoyed.

The reporter was losing it. How could his boss be so clueless?

"Give me the phone," Brady said, tired of the back-and-forth. He found it amusing that the editor-in-chief didn't take him seriously. Using his privacy for profit? Wasn't he afraid of dying?

Brady tossed the sculpture at the reporter's feet.

The reporter, shaking, handed the phone to Brady.

"Are you the editor-in-chief who leaked my news?" Brady asked coldly.

The editor-in-chief, suddenly terrified, stammered, "Mr. Hall, there must be some misunderstanding."

"Misunderstanding? You were just planning to profit off my privacy. Why so scared now?" Brady sneered.

"No, no, you must have heard wrong," the editor-in-chief said, sweating and trying to sound apologetic.

"I don't have time for this. You know what it means that I'm taking this call, right?"

"Yes," the editor-in-chief replied, nearly scared to death. He thought someone like Brady wouldn't care about gossip.

Why was he handling it personally?

The editor-in-chief, heart pounding, agreed to take down the news.

Brady hung up and tossed the phone back to the reporter. "You know what to do next, right?"

The reporter nodded quickly. "Yes, Mr. Hall, don't worry."

"Get out," Brady said. He didn't want to rough him up; he was a father now and couldn't go around hitting people.

The reporter scrambled to his feet and fled as fast as he could.
