Chapter 1033 Lucien Witnessed the Male Version of 'Two-faced' for the First Time
"Alright, I got it. You keep things under control, I'll be right down to check it out." Most of the guests had already left at this hour, and Brady figured they were probably the last ones to leave. Did they run into each other?
Too stubborn!
Brady hung up the phone and looked at Violet, whose face was flushed. "I need to go downstairs and check it out. Lucien and Austin are causing a scene."
Violet raised an eyebrow, surprised. "Lucien and Austin are fighting?"
"No way, I need to see this for myself."
It had to be about Emily. As Emily's close friend, she couldn't just stand by and do nothing.
"You've been busy dealing with guests all day; you're exhausted. Get some rest, I'll handle it," Brady said, feeling sorry for Violet as he gently touched her soft cheek.
"I'm not tired. If they're fighting over Emily, how can I just go to sleep? Besides, I need to check on Emily, too."
"Alright, let's go downstairs." Brady couldn't convince her to rest, so he went along with her.
The couple left the bathroom and headed downstairs to see what was going on.
In the opulent and lavishly decorated hotel lobby, Austin, looking disheveled and furious, pointed at Lucien, who appeared completely unscathed and still impeccably dressed. Austin, in a fit of desperation, shouted, "Lucien, I knew you were trying to steal Emily, but I'm telling you, it's not going to happen!"
Just moments ago, Emily had told him she wanted to break up, with no room for negotiation.
He knew Emily could be this resolute?
It had to be because of Lucien.
This guy, with his good looks and wealth, had bewitched his Emily.
How could Austin not be angry?
"I'm calling Emily's dad right now to come and sort this out!" Austin, seemingly having lost his mind, threatened to involve Emily's father.
This made Emily extremely embarrassed, especially since they were in the hotel lobby with so many people watching!
He didn't feel ashamed, but she certainly did.
The Hart family was well-known and respected. Was he trying to drag them into this mess?
Emily was utterly frustrated by his childish behavior.
She bit her lip, walked over, and held his hand to stop him from dialing. "Austin, don't call my dad. Can't we handle our own issues?"
"Do you really want everyone to know about this?"
Austin did want everyone to know. He knew the Hart family was prestigious and valued their reputation. He was the victim here, so why shouldn't he make a scene? But he didn't show this intention openly; instead, he looked heartbroken and said, "Emily, I love you. I can't live without you. But you cheated on me with Lucien, and I forgave you. Why do you want to break up with me?"
After Austin's words, Lucien's face darkened.
This jerk, how shameless could he be to say something like that?
What a disgrace to men.
Lucien was witnessing firsthand what a male version of a 'two-faced' drama queen looked like.
As Austin pitifully finished his accusations, the surrounding onlookers couldn't help but start gossiping: "This guy is so pitiful. He doesn't even mind his girlfriend cheating on him? Poor guy."
"But, on the other hand, look at his girlfriend, she's gorgeous, and the other guy is handsome too. Betraying him is kind of understandable. I think he should just break up and let those two scumbags be together. Don't let them ruin his life."
Lucien and Emily heard these comments?
Their faces darkened even more.
How did they become the scumbags in this situation?
