Chapter 928 She Is Brady's Wife

Julie wasn't sure if Violet could save her, but from their journey so far, Violet had always protected her and bravely fought against Miles.

Julie had come to rely on her.

Nodding obediently, she said, "Violet, I'll listen to you."

"Good. Are you tired? You should get some sleep." They needed to conserve their strength for the battles ahead.

"Okay." Julie was indeed a bit tired, but more than that, she was scared.

When she looked at Violet, she saw her shivering while holding her.

Knowing she must be cold, Julie quickly hugged her tighter and said, "Violet, your dress is soaked. You'll catch a cold. Hold me tight, and I'll keep you warm."

Violet, afraid of getting Julie wet and making her sick too, softly refused, "No need, I can tough it out."

"No way. The temperature difference at night here can be pretty big, and we're by the sea. You'll catch a cold." Julie had grown up on an island and was very familiar with the climate changes.

"Didn't you say you wanted to help me? What if you get sick?"

With Julie saying that, Violet stopped resisting and let her hold her, warming herself with Julie's body heat.

But this wasn't a long-term solution.

After about ten minutes on the speedboat, Violet started sneezing from the cold.

Miles, sitting at the bow, heard her and glanced over coldly but said nothing.

When Violet couldn't fight off the exhaustion and cold any longer and suddenly collapsed, Julie was terrified. She reached out and gently shook Violet, "Violet, what's wrong?"

Julie called her name several times, but Violet didn't wake up.

Miles had been ignoring Violet, and finally got up from the bow and slowly walked over. He crouched down and looked at the pale-faced Violet.

He roughly touched her forehead.

A cold?

Miles coldly checked her temperature and was about to withdraw his hand when Julie rudely pushed it away, saying, "Please don't touch her. She's Brady's wife."

Miles sneered. Did she think he wanted to take this woman?

Ridiculous.

Standing up, he looked down at the two of them and said, "She has a cold."

"A cold?" Julie finally realized.

She immediately hugged Violet closer, trying to warm her up.

"Violet, you'll be okay."

Miles watched them coldly, saying nothing.

One of his subordinates couldn't help but suggest, "Mr. Gibson, since she has a cold, why don't we throw her into the sea? Anyway, if we take her back sick, Mr. Hall might not spare us."

Miles didn't respond immediately. After a few seconds of silence, he said, "Change course to Azurine Isle."

His subordinate was stunned. Wasn't that his private island?

Weren't they supposed to go back to the base and sacrifice Julie to honor the deceased Reuben Gibson?

What was Miles thinking?

"Mr. Gibson, aren't we going back to the base?"

"Stop talking and do as I say." Miles finished and returned to the bow, but it was clear he was frowning.

The idea to change course had just popped into his head.

He gave himself a reason: Violet couldn't be harmed for now.

Otherwise, it would cause more trouble later.

So, let Violet wake up first, leave her on Azurine Isle, and notify Brady to come get her.

That would settle the matter.

Meanwhile, under the cold moonlight.

Three speedboats sped from the island villa towards Reuben's hideout.

On one of the boats, Brady's white shirt was disheveled from the earlier fight.

But he didn't care, his eyes dark and angry as he stared at the open sea.

All he could think about was finding Violet.
