"Mr. Roberts, what are you talking about? How could my daughter Emily be interested in someone else? Hasn't she been with you all this time?" Douglas's face was clouded with concern as he looked at Austin.
Austin lowered his gaze, his face full of sorrow. "Mr. Hart, that's not the point. The point is, I love Emily very much. I don't care if she doesn't love me back. I just want to take care of her and cherish her for the rest of my life. I'll love her more than that other guy ever could."

Austin had already decided to go all out. If he couldn't have Emily, then neither could Lucien.

"Austin, can you stop making things up? I didn't do anything," Emily said angrily.

Seeing this, Emily didn't dare to defy him. She quickly said, "Dad, are you okay? I'll go upstairs right now. Please don't be angry."
She wiped her tears and headed upstairs.
Violet, seeing this, also decided to go upstairs to accompany Emily.
With Emily gone, only Douglas and Austin remained in the living room.
Douglas apologized, "Mr. Roberts, I apologize on Emily's behalf."
