Chapter 1060 Emily is Dead, We Are Divorced, I'm Done

"Sure, we could accept them, but I'm worried Nicole might get left out," the school counselor continued.

She couldn't promise that all the kids would be taken care of.

"Mr. Hall, Mrs. Hall, you should think about it," Lonnie chimed in.

"I think it's better to keep the siblings together," Violet thought for a moment and decided, "Henry will look after her."

It would be worse to split them up into different preschools.

She couldn't keep an eye on both of them all the time.

With Henry around, at least Nicole would have someone to look out for her.

"Let's go with my wife's suggestion," Brady agreed, deferring to Violet.

Lonnie nodded, "Mr. Hall, Mrs. Hall, we'll get started on the enrollment paperwork, and they can start school in September."

Violet nodded.

Today, Henry and Nicole's enrollment would be finalized.

The paperwork was completed quickly, and once finished, Violet and Brady went to the classroom to pick up their two little ones.

Just as they picked them up, Violet's phone rang.

Violet glanced at the screen and saw it was Elodie. She raised an eyebrow in curiosity.

Emily's mom rarely called her. What could this be about?

Violet held the phone, pondering.

Brady, holding Nicole, looked at her and asked, "Who's calling? Why aren't you answering?"

"It's Emily's mom. She rarely calls me. I wonder what's going on?" Violet snapped out of her thoughts and quickly answered the call. Before she could say anything, Elodie's sobs came through the line: "Violet, can you come to the hospital? Emily is distraught over Austin and took a lot of sleeping pills. She's in critical condition!"

"Okay, okay... I'll be right there. Which hospital?" Violet's face turned pale as she hurriedly asked.

"Tranquil Hospital," Elodie replied, still crying. "Please hurry."

"Alright." Violet hung up, her eyes suddenly red. She handed Henry to Brady and said, "Honey, Emily took sleeping pills."

"I need to go check on her. You take the kids home."

Violet said this, her eyes red, and ran out.

Brady stood for a few seconds, frowning slightly, then quickly followed her outside the preschool.

Brady handed the kids to the bodyguard and assistant, then went to grab Violet, "I'll take you."

"What about the kids?" Violet's eyes were red, tears streaming down her face.

She never imagined Emily would attempt suicide.

Emily had always been an optimistic and cheerful girl, fearless and bold. Even when Lucien rejected her years ago, she never thought of ending her life.

How could Austin, that jerk, push her to this point?

"The kids will be fine with the assistant. Let's go check on Emily first." Brady wiped away her tears and said.

Violet looked at Brady, then threw herself into his arms, hugging him tightly and biting her lip, "It's all Austin's fault."

"I know, don't cry." Brady hugged Violet tightly, comforting her, "Let's go see how she's doing. She's still being treated; hopefully, she'll be okay."

Violet nodded, not wasting any time. She let go of Brady and got in the car with him, heading to Tranquil Hospital.

At Tranquil Hospital's emergency room.

Douglas stood slumped against the wall, staring blankly, while Elodie sobbed uncontrollably, her face buried in her hands.

Around them were Hart family bodyguards, keeping the media at bay.

After crying for a while, Elodie wiped her tears and walked up to Douglas, saying, "I'm telling you, if Emily dies, we're getting a divorce. I'm done!"

"You handle business so smartly, but when it comes to Austin, you're so foolish. You trust outsiders over Emily. You're really losing it!"

Douglas let Elodie berate him without responding, but his fingers were clenched and trembling.

She was his daughter; how could he not be worried or upset?

But did he even have the right to be concerned? It was all his fault.
