Chapter 332 Seeking Justice for His Granddaughter

At noon, Matilda hosted a lunch at a charming French restaurant, inviting Mr. Moore, Leana, and Violet to join. Violet had no idea Matilda had a hidden agenda to seek justice for her.

She thought it was just a casual meal until she saw Leana, who had just been discharged from the hospital, at the restaurant. Violet's heart skipped a beat, sensing something was up, and she sat down uneasily next to Brady.

Violet had heard Brady mention that the Patton family and the Hall family were close.

So, was this lunch a setup? Was Matilda going to make her apologize to Leana?

While Violet was lost in thought, Matilda spoke up, "I invited everyone here today to clear up the misunderstanding between you two young ladies."

Matilda spoke gently. Leana listened, but her expression was taut, like a bowstring drawn to its limit. If Mr. Moore found out that she had made Mia lie to him in the hospital room, he would definitely scold her.

Leana didn't want that; she still wanted her Grandpa to help her deal with Violet!

So, after Matilda Hall finished speaking, Leana quickly said, "Granny, let's just forget about it. It's all over now anyway."

As soon as she finished speaking, Mr. Moore said forcefully, "We can't just brush this off."

He was here to seek justice for Leana, not to let her continue being wronged!

"We have to get to the bottom of this today; Leana has been unfairly treated!" Mr. Moore glared angrily at Violet, making her instinctively look away.

"Grandpa, let it go." Leana really didn't want to make a scene in front of Brady.

Yesterday at the police station, Brady had already threatened her not to provoke Violet again. If he found out that she had instigated Mr. Moore to come and cause trouble today, Brady would definitely despise her even more!

Then she would have no chance to be with him at all in the future.

“It can’t end like this,” Mr. Moore insisted, his fist slamming heavily onto the table. “We need to make this JK's Violet explain herself right here, right now! Otherwise, I won’t let this matter rest.”

The forceful thud made Brady’s face darken. He frowned, disapproving of Mr. Moore’s domineering attitude, which seemed to stem from his age and status.

If it weren't for Matilda Hall's sake, he would never have allowed Violet to come and be verbally abused today.

"Mr. Moore, did you come here without fully understanding the situation?" Brady said, looking at him seriously.

As soon as Brady spoke, Violet looked at him in surprise. Was he going to help her? To stand up against his family friend?

Violet thought that their relationship wasn't close enough for him to offend a family friend for her.

"What do you mean I don't understand?" Mr. Moore looked at Brady with a condescending expression, his demeanor carrying the sharpness of an elder.

Brady chuckled coldly. "First, you should ask Leana what really happened. Was it Violet's fault, or was it intentional on Leana's part?"

"What are you saying?" Mr. Moore glared at Brady in disbelief that he would blame Leana for the sake of an unknown employee of the company.

"Ask Leana, and you'll know." Brady looked at Leana, whose face was tight and unpleasant, and said, "Ask her if she intentionally tried to frame Violet."

"If Leana didn't deliberately attempt suicide last night, I would have made her apologize to Violet in front of me," Brady added.

After Brady finished speaking, Leana's expression grew even darker. Not wanting to be humiliated in front of so many people, she immediately stood up and left.

Mr. Moore watched her go, a flicker of understanding crossing his face. His demeanor shifted, becoming more subdued. “I’ll look into this matter further,” he said, his voice tinged with resignation. “I apologize for any disruption caused today.”

With that, he too stood up and followed Leana out.
