Chapter 990 Emily, Really. Don't Rush into an Engagement

Violet had an appointment at an exclusive, high-end bridal boutique tucked away in a charming, old alley within a historic building.

The shop seemed quiet and unassuming.

However, it was a hit online, with many socialites and celebrities favoring its gowns and wedding dresses.

The boutique owner's designs were so impressive that even Violet, a fellow designer, was blown away.

Upon entering, Violet handed her baby to the nanny who had accompanied them.

She and Emily headed to the front desk.

The receptionist, aware of Violet's VIP appointment, warmly guided them to a fitting room, saying, "Mrs. Hall, our designer will be with you shortly."

"Please have a seat," the receptionist added before stepping out to get them some water.

Violet and Emily settled into the spacious fitting room, surrounded by an array of wedding dresses and gowns.

"Violet, what were you trying to tell me earlier?" Emily asked as she sat down.

Violet coughed awkwardly, hesitant. "Emily, there's something I'm not sure if I should tell you."

She was worried Emily wouldn't take it well.

"Go ahead."

"Well, it's just… I mean… could you maybe not rush into the engagement?" Violet couldn't bring herself to badmouth Austin without solid proof.

She had no evidence at all.

"What's wrong? Is there something about Austin?" Emily, being a close friend, picked up on the underlying message.

Violet nodded, "I think you should take a closer look at his character."

"He seems fine to me." Emily was puzzled by Violet's concerns about Austin's character.

Violet bit her lip, feeling anxious. Without evidence, she couldn't say much, so she offered a gentle warning, "Emily, really… don't rush into this engagement."

"I'm not rushing." Emily smiled wryly, "Why does everyone think I'm rushing?"

Even Lucien, that jerk, had advised her not to rush.

Was she really being impulsive?

Hadn't she thought this through?

"Who else told you that?" Violet asked, curious.

"It's nothing. Don't worry, I've got it under control. I won't act impulsively." Emily gently squeezed Violet's hand. "Today is about you. Don't worry about me. Let's focus on trying on wedding dresses."

Violet nodded, "Alright."

She'd bring it up again once she had proof.

As they chatted, Aria Clark, dressed in a vintage gown, entered the room.

Both Violet and Emily turned to look at her, momentarily taken aback.

The designer was surprisingly young.

With curly hair and a red gown that hugged her figure, she had a striking, bold beauty.

A tattoo of a gun and rose adorned her right arm.

Her vibrant appearance exuded confidence and assertiveness.

Aria lifted her long, narrow eyes, smiling with red lips, "Mrs. Hall, sorry to keep you waiting."

Violet nodded at her, "No problem, we've only been here a short while."

"I've set aside a few wedding dresses for you, Mrs. Hall. Would you like to try them on?" Aria's eyes appraised Violet, a competitive glint hidden within that only she noticed.

"Sure, let's see them." Violet stood up and followed Aria to choose a dress.

Emily waited on the sofa.

While waiting, Austin sent a message checking in on her. [Emily, are you feeling better?]

[Much better.]

[Great, I've arranged with my friend. How about we go to America the day after tomorrow?]

Emily was momentarily taken aback. So soon? [You've already arranged it?]

[Yes, I'll go with you.]

Emily had no objections. [Alright, we'll go to America the day after tomorrow.]

The check-up there would be quick. They could return in two days and still make it to Violet's wedding on time.
