Chapter 575 You're Pregnant Now, You Can't Overwork
"Violet, I need some time alone," Hellen said, pressing her forehead heavily before quickly retreating to the bedroom.
She then closed the bedroom door.
Violet felt a bit distressed. If Hellen didn't agree, how could she persuade her?
In this world, Hellen was the closest and kindest person to her.
She didn't want to get married without Hellen's blessing.
Violet was at a loss. Emily came over with Henry and Nicole. As soon as the two children reached Violet, they clung to her legs affectionately.
Violet then squatted down to hug the two children.
Seeing her pale face, Emily guessed that her conversation with Hellen hadn't gone well and comforted her, "Violet, you're pregnant now. You can't let your emotions fluctuate too much. What if it harms the baby?"
Violet didn't want to be so emotional, but she was worried about Hellen being upset.
"Emily, what should I do?" Violet stood up to ask.
Emily, who had never experienced such a situation herself, could only apologize, "Violet, I don't know what to do either. But don't worry too much. Hellen is such a good person; maybe she'll come around on her own."
Violet nodded. It seemed that was all she could hope for now.
"Let's order some takeout. You shouldn't cook; you're pregnant and need to rest," Emily said as she started to order food.
The doorbell of the mansion rang.
Emily immediately went to open the door. When she did, she saw two men in white chef uniforms standing outside.
She was surprised and quickly asked, "Who are you?"
"Hello, is Ms. Devereux living here?" the head chef asked kindly.
Emily nodded.
"We were sent by Mr. Hall. He instructed us to prepare a nutritious meal for Ms. Devereux," the chef explained.
Emily understood and immediately smiled, making way for them to enter. "Come in quickly, we haven't had dinner yet."
The chefs nodded and, brought in the prepared high-quality ingredients to make dinner for Violet.
After closing the door, Emily walked over to Violet and said, "Violet, Brady is so good to you. He even arranged for chefs to make you a nutritious meal."
Violet, preoccupied with Hellen's situation, said, "With everything going on, I don't feel like eating any fancy meals."
"You have to eat for the baby's sake!" Emily said, gently patting Violet's belly. "Otherwise, the baby in your tummy will protest."
Hearing this, Henry became curious and grabbed Emily's hand, asking, "Baby?"
Emily patted his head and smiled. "Yes, Henry and Nicole are going to have a little brother or sister soon. Are you happy?"
Henry and Nicole immediately understood and started clapping their hands in excitement.
"Violet, your two kids are not opposed to having another sibling. That's wonderful," Emily said, looking at the happy smiles on Henry and Nicole's faces.
Violet reached out to pat Henry and Nicole's little heads, about to say something when the doorbell rang again. Emily guessed it might be another surprise from Brady and quickly ran to open the door.
But when she opened it, Brady was standing outside.
He had come to see Hellen.
