Chapter139 Say I Have Another Woman Again, and See If I Don't Make Sure You Can't Get
Finally, the meal was nearing its end.
Arthur Stanley, observant as he was, made an excuse about having urgent matters to attend to and quickly left the room with his cousin, Loraine Plahn. That left Brady Hall and Violet Devereux alone.
Loraine was still somewhat dazed, clinging to the belief that her cousin had his sights set on Violet.
But why did it seem like Brady also had a thing for her?
So when her cousin Arthur Stanley pulled her aside, Loraine Plahn couldn't help but ask, "Cousin, what's the deal with you and Brady?"
"What do you mean?" Arthur Stanley asked smoothly as he pressed the elevator button.
Loraine adjusted her oversized sunglasses on the bridge of her nose and said, "You and Brady, what's going on with you two? Don't tell me you're both into Violet Devereux?"
"I'm not," Arthur Stanley replied with a side glance and a smile. "Don't worry about it, and... tell your friend Leana to steer clear of Violet. She shouldn't get involved."
“Brady's into her?” Loraine was finally catching on. So it was true—Brady had a thing for Violet.
Taking a shallow breath, she thought, That could be a dangerous game, right?
The Hall family was at the top of the elite.
Who could just casually get involved with Brady Hall?
Especially with his parents abroad, their finding out about Violet Devereux wouldn't be good news.
"Is Brady serious about her?"
"Who knows? Seems like he might be." Arthur Stanley hadn't really thought about distant concerns like parents. It's quite normal for a man to be interested in a woman, isn't it?
Who said dating means you have to marry?
"Oh," Loraine nodded in understanding. The thought of the usually stoic and commanding Brady wanting to pursue a woman amused her. "Don't worry, Cousin, I'll talk to Leana and make sure she doesn't bother Violet."
"Alright."

Back in the private room, now absent were the third wheels, Arthur Stanley and Loraine Plahn.
The atmosphere, once lively, turned eerily quiet.
Noting the time, Violet realized it was 8 o'clock—time to leave. She grabbed her bag, stood up, and said to the man savoring his drink beside her, "Mr. Hall, enjoy your evening, I'll be heading out."
She turned to leave.
Brady Hall reached out, grabbing her wrist with a strong tug, and said as he put down his glass, "I'll drive you home."
Startled, Violet tried to pull away. Why would she want a ride from him?
But as she attempted to fling his hand away, Brady Hall was already on his feet, pulling Violet Devereux's wrist with a firm grip, escorting her out of the private room like an assertive boyfriend.
They made their way down to the restaurant's underground parking lot, where the Hall family's driver had been waiting for a while. Spotting the pair, he swiftly approached to open the car door.
"Mr. Hall, I don't need a ride," Violet vehemently insisted, biting her lip and speaking with determined anger. "And, as I said, I don't want to be harassed by your women."
"Could you perhaps show some consideration for your subordinate?" Whether he admitted it or not, the reality was evident.
Otherwise, how else could she have ended up knocked out by Leana's ambush that day?
"You're claiming I have other women again? Believe me, keep that up, and I'll make sure you can't get home tonight!" Brady Hall was truly baffled by her logic.
How did knowing a few women suddenly make them all his? Why on earth hadn't he included himself among them? After all, they knew each other, too.
"It doesn't matter if you deny it; I just don't want to be involved in any trouble," Violet Devereux knew too well that types like him, high-powered CEOs, wouldn't easily acknowledge any romantic entanglements.
So fine, she thought, she would just stay clear of him.
