Chapter 733 Was It Just a Coincidence of Name and Appearance
JK Office Floor
Violet arrived at work, and as soon as she stepped in, her female colleagues at JK swarmed around her with flattery.
They hadn't seen Violet for a while.
Each one of them was so excited, it was as if they wore their compliments on their faces.
"Violet, you're finally back! We've missed you so much."
"Violet? You mean Mrs. Hall!"
"Yes, Mrs. Hall. It just hasn't been the same without you here."
"Exactly, even the air feels a bit dull without you."
Amidst the enthusiastic flattery, Violet couldn't help but laugh. "You don't need to butter me up. I'll treat everyone to coffee this afternoon."
"Wow, thank you, Mrs. Hall!" They clapped excitedly.
During the commotion, Max heard the noise and came out of his office.
Seeing Violet, whom he hadn't seen in a long time, surrounded by everyone, he noticed she looked more radiant and captivating than before.
Max felt a pang of nostalgia, knowing he could never hope to be with her. He wasn't worthy, nor did he have the right.
He couldn't compare to Brady.
Losing to Brady, he accepted it willingly.
But he would always keep Violet in the deepest part of his heart because she was the first woman he ever had feelings for.
The first woman he wanted to date and marry.
Unfortunately, he wasn't good enough.
Now, he could only watch her from afar. Max gazed at her for a long moment before pulling his eyes away.
He slowly walked up to Violet and said, "Violet, can you come to my office? I have something to discuss with you."
"Sure, Mr. Green," Violet replied, looking at Max.
Max nodded and headed back to his office.
Violet followed, knocking on the door before entering and closing it behind her.
With the door shut, Max stood and pulled out a chair for her in front of his desk. "Please, have a seat."
Violet sat down. "Mr. Green, what did you want to talk about?"
"Well, there's a legendary designer from abroad who's returning to the country. JK wants to recruit him, but another major design company is also after him. I wanted to get your thoughts on how we should approach him." Max sat back at his desk and gently handed Violet the designer's profile.
Violet took it and opened the folder, revealing an impressive resume.
Darian Voss, a design prodigy from abroad, graduated from the Neoforma Institute of Transdisciplinary Design.
He was mentored by a top Armani designer.
At just 22, he had already won numerous design awards and was a rising star in the design world, soon to return to the country.
Violet quickly scanned the resume, her eyes locking onto the handsome, sunny face in the photo.
She was instantly lost in thought.
Could this Darian be the same she knew?
Or was it just a coincidence of name and appearance?
If it were the Darian she knew, things could get complicated. Darian was her high school classmate, a year ahead of her.
He had pursued her back then.
But she had a crush on Brady and had turned him down harshly.
He went abroad afterward, and she hadn't heard from him since.
If it were him, he might not be too happy to see her if she went to recruit him.
Of course, it could just be a coincidence—they might just share the same name and look somewhat alike.
Violet found herself in a dilemma.
Seeing her furrowed brow, Max assumed she thought the task was difficult and said, "It will be challenging to recruit him, given his impressive credentials and status as a design genius."
Violet snapped out of her thoughts, closed the folder, and looked at Max, a bit embarrassed. "Mr. Green, I might know this person."
