Chapter 702 Experiencing the First Fear in Life

Today, Violet stole the show at the Devereux family's press conference.

She didn't just make them a laughingstock; she also ensured that they couldn't challenge the Hall family or her anymore.

Plus, once the photos of Violet's mistreatment hit the internet, everyone was on her side. People felt for her.

And then came the bombshell: her real background.

Turns out, she's a socialite from the globally renowned Lawson Corporation.

So, all those folks who used to look down on her quickly shut up, not daring to say a word.

Brady watched the whole press conference from his ward.

After watching, he had a newfound respect for Violet.

If the old Violet made him feel protective, the new Violet made him feel like they were equals, life partners.

This shift left Brady a bit anxious.

On one hand, as Violet became more outstanding and confident, he worried she would attract more attention from other men.

He'd be jealous then.

On the other hand, he looked forward to walking through life hand in hand with her.

So, for the first time, this fearless man felt a bit of trepidation facing exceptional Violet.

Despite his anxiety, Brady was certain he would spend his life with her.

He put away his iPad and prepared to rest for a while.

His good friend Arthur, who was busy dealing with the Stanley family's inheritance issues, came to check on him.

As soon as Arthur entered the room and saw Brady with his leg bandaged, he couldn't help but laugh, "Another heroic rescue gone wrong?"

Brady looked at him, a smile playing on his lips, his eyes twinkling, "You done with the Stanley family drama?"

"My grandpa's out of the hospital," Arthur said, pulling up a chair and sitting down with a slightly relaxed expression.

The recent family chaos had kept him on edge.

Only with his good friend could he find a moment of peace.

"That's good. As long as he's okay," Brady said.

Arthur nodded, his fingers casually resting on his hand, "Violet was quite the star today. Everyone's talking about it. You've found a gem."

Brady clicked his tongue, pretending to be indifferent in front of Arthur, but he was overjoyed. "So what? Even without that background, I'd cherish her."

Arthur knew he was putting on a front and grinned, "Alright, everyone knows you're a wife-doting maniac now."

"Isn't that how it should be?"

Arthur nodded, "By the way, Kade's funeral is next week. You should come." His uncle's side of the family had caused such a ruckus that it sent his grandpa to the hospital.

Now that his grandpa was out, they needed to handle it quickly.

"Did you settle things with your uncle's side?" Brady asked, curious.

The situation had blown up quite a bit.

Anyone with ties to the Stanley family knew about it.

Of course, many were just watching the drama unfold.

After all, in a family feud, there was always a loser. It was just a matter of whether Arthur's side or his uncle's side would win this inheritance battle.

"How could we settle it?" Arthur didn't shy away from revealing the Stanley family's reality to his good friend.

He let out a cold laugh, "This time, my grandpa ordered the burial. They'll probably cause more trouble in the future."

"They just want my shares," Arthur said calmly, "They want more.”

"Greedy."

"It's tough on you," Brady said, understanding the complex structure of the Stanley family.

Too many factions, it was a trouble.

Brady suddenly felt grateful that his parents only had him, and his grandparents only had one child, avoiding the drama of sibling rivalry.
