Chapter 469 Did You Miss Me Today?
However, Violet didn't want to offend Oliviafor now, because avoiding being kidnapped again was more urgent. So, she picked up the documents and walked away.
Back at her desk, just as she put down the files, the female designer in front of her gave her a sympathetic look. "Violet, is Olivia deliberately retaliating against you?"
Everyone knew that it was impossible for one designer to handle so many files alone.
It was obvious that Olivia wanted to get back at Violet, but Violet didn't even know her well. Why was she targeting Violet specifically?
The female designer couldn't understand. She thought that Violet was too beautiful, and Olivia felt threatened by her beauty.
When Violet first arrived, she was targeted for being too pretty.
So, the female designer could only offer her some comfort. There wasn't much else she could do.
Violet didn't care; she wasn't bothered by Olivia at all. So, she started organizing the files.
But there were so many documents that it was really troublesome to sort them out.
She worked on them until the end of the day and barely finished.
When she sent the files to Olivia, Olivia didn't show any gratitude. Instead, she continued to complain about Violet's work efficiency.
Violet felt helpless.
Finally, when it was time to leave, she quickly left.
Just as she reached the ground floor of the company, she received a text from Brady: [Come to the underground parking lot. I want to introduce you to Calliope.]
Violet looked at the message and felt curious.
What did Calliope look like?
She thought for a moment, put down her phone, and headed to the parking lot.
Soon, she arrived at the company's underground parking lot and saw Brady's car parked in his designated spot.
Violet walked over, opened the car door, and got in.
As soon as she got in, she saw a young, beautiful girl sitting inside. However, this girl was different from others, including herself; she had a certain grace.
Violet looked at her, then at Brady sitting next to Calliope, and suddenly felt a pang of envy.
She had never felt this way before, but the longer she spent with Brady, the more she felt it.
It seemed she had also become someone who envied others.
Realizing this thought, Violet quickly pushed it away and reached out to greet Calliope, "Hello."
Calliope extended her hand as well, and they shook hands. "Hi, I'm Calliope, Brady's sister and his best friend."
After that, Violet felt puzzled. 'Sister?'
What did that mean? She remembered that Brady didn't have any siblings.
How could he have a sister?
"You're Brady's sister?"
Calliope nodded. "Yes, I am."
Seeing her confused look, Brady didn't hesitate to explain, gently touching her face affectionately. "Calliope was adopted by my grandfather. We grew up together, but she later joined the military and then worked at Southwest Airport, so she rarely stays in New Future City. I never mentioned her to you."
With his explanation, Violet understood and blushed.
She had actually felt envious just now.
"Now that we've met, I'll leave you two alone," Calliope said as she got out of the car.
Brady said, "Move to my estate tomorrow."
Calliope nodded.
Once she left and the car door closed again, Brady immediately hugged Violet, pulling her into his arms and holding her tightly.
He whispered, "Starting tomorrow, you'll stay with Emily for a while."
Violet, blushing from being held so tightly, nodded with difficulty and replied, "Okay."
"Did you miss me today?" Brady asked as he lowered his head to kiss Violet.
