Chapter 382 He Had Long Known It but Couldn't Give Up
After getting those pics and texts, Brady just ghosted. He didn't wanna get tangled up with Leana, no way.
That flirty pic made Brady super uneasy. He knew Max had a thing for Violet, but Brady always thought he was way better than Max. No way Violet would ditch him for Max, right?
But man, Brady was wrong. In the pic, Violet wasn't exactly shoving Max away.
Brady kept staring at the pic, getting more and more pissed.
He hated any dude touching Violet.
Thinking about it, Brady couldn't chill. He tossed the papers he was holding, got up, and decided to head to the show to see what was up.
At the show, Max was still holding onto Violet, who looked super awkward and shoved him away hard. Max, realizing he messed up, awkwardly said, "Violet, sorry, I lost it for a sec."
Violet straightened herself up and said again, "Mr. Green, I have a boyfriend."
Violet knew Max liked her, but she was already having a hard time dealing with Brady, let alone Max.
Hearing her, Max was stunned and a bit embarrassed, but he didn't show much. He knew Violet had a boyfriend; he just couldn't let go.
"I know, I lost it. I'm sorry," Max apologized again.
"It's cool," Violet said politely. "Mr. Green, let's get to the press conference."
"Alright." Max shook off his embarrassment and walked ahead.
Violet took a deep breath, watched him walk away, and followed him out.
By now, a bunch of media folks were already seated in the show hall, cameras and recorders ready, waiting for the press conference to kick off.
Fanny and the others were already there, including the model rep, Leana.
Only Violet and Max were missing.
They walked over and sat down at the remaining seats behind the podium. As soon as they sat, the flashlights started going off like crazy.
The bright flashes were blinding.
Soon, the media started the Q&A. "Hello, I'm a reporter from Nova City Entertainment. Mr. Green from JK, is this your first public runway show? Does it mean you have big plans, like getting into the entertainment biz?"
After the reporter finished, Max grabbed the mic and answered, "Yeah, this is JK's first runway show. We're planning to step into the spotlight, not just doing custom designs for regular clients but also for clients from the entertainment industry."
The reporter asked, "Is your team made up of very experienced designers?"
Max smiled and replied, "Of course, they're all very experienced."
The reporter continued, "But I remember Violet from JK is a recent grad? And I've heard she gets help with her designs?"
The reporter's sharp question quickly put the spotlight on Violet.
Everyone turned their cameras towards Violet and started snapping pics like crazy.
This spotlight-stealing didn't bother Fanny and the other designers, but it made Leana super unhappy. Leana was supposed to be the star today; how could she stand Violet stealing her thunder?
Leana immediately shot a jealous glare at Violet.
