Chapter 633 She Would Never Regret Marring Brady

"There's a rumor online that the eldest daughter of the Devereux family isn't actually their biological kid," the assistant reported, detailing the info he had found. "Considering she got kicked out two years ago, it seems like the Devereux family never really accepted her."

James's expression darkened instantly, his eyes heavy with thought. Evelyn's daughter was kicked out?

And she was not Gerry's biological daughter?

James's brow furrowed deeply. 'Then whose daughter is she?'

"Book me a flight back to Crestoria for tomorrow," James ordered his assistant after setting down the documents.

The assistant nodded. "Mr. Lawson, do you need anything else prepared?"

"No, that's all. This trip will be under the guise of a business trip," James said, not wanting to alert his family to his true intentions.

The assistant understood and immediately went to book the flight.

James glanced at the documents again, which included a photo of Violet.

He picked up her photo and studied it.

Her features really did resemble Ethan and Juniper Lawson. Could Violet actually be his and Evelyn's daughter?

When she suddenly married into the Devereux family, he hadn't asked many questions.

Maybe it was possible?

If Violet truly was his daughter, he could finally make up for the regrets he had with Evelyn.

After James's assistant left the office, Ethan happened to come by and intercepted him. "Jerry, why are you heading to my dad's office so early? Is there something important?"

Jerry didn't dare reveal the specifics, so he simply said, "Just business matters."

"Really?" Ethan wouldn't normally be suspicious, but Jerry's nervous response made him doubt. "Yes, yes. Really."

Ethan couldn't help but be suspicious.

He didn't ask directly, but after Jerry left, he immediately instructed his own assistant to follow Jerry.

By the afternoon, his assistant reported back that Jerry had booked the earliest flight back to Crestoria for tomorrow.

The Lawson family's business operations were primarily in Eldoria, with very little in Crestoria.

And his dad, who hadn't wanted to return to Crestoria for decades, suddenly decided to go back?

The assistant suggested James was going for an inspection.

Ethan didn't believe it. He thought carefully and suddenly remembered the domestic news he had seen online a few days ago. Could his dad be going back because of the rumors in that news?

Thinking about this, Ethan couldn't stay calm. He wasn't worried about his dad investigating the matter, but he was concerned about James's safety traveling alone.

So he immediately instructed his assistant to book the earliest flight back to Crestoria for tomorrow as well.

Back in Crestoria.

Having dealt with Lilian, Violet was in a good mood. Early in the morning, she took Nicole and Henry to The Sterling Society.

Brady had mentioned that Michael was eager to see the kids and wanted to chat with her.

So, she decided to be proactive and visit.

When the driver brought them to The Sterling Society, Michael was already waiting at the entrance.

Seeing Henry and Nicole get out of the car, he immediately opened his arms in joy to hug them. "Henry, Nicole, my wonderful grandchildren."

The children weren't shy around him at all—in fact, they adored their grandfather. They immediately ran to him, wrapping their small arms around him in a tight hug and planting quick kisses on his cheeks.

Michael, delighted by their warmth, hugged Nicole and Henry on either side and walked into The Sterling Society with Violet.

Inside, Michael turned to his daughter-in-law and said, "Violet, don't worry about the online rumors. Our Hall family isn't shallow like that."

His words were meant to reassure her, to let her know not to overthink it.

This filled Violet's heart with warmth and happiness.

Marrying Brady was a decision she would never regret for the rest of her life.
