Chapter 1055 I Spend Money to Support Them, So What If They Wait for Us?
Brady's kiss was gentle, and Violet blushed slightly, saying, "Alright, alright, enough with the kissing."
"But I don't think it's enough," Brady teased, grinning.
Violet's face turned red with embarrassment. "Come on, let's go eat first, okay?"
Besides, Eddy and the other assistants and bodyguards were still outside JK!
Luckily, they hadn't come in. Otherwise, it would be so embarrassing if they saw the two of them being all lovey-dovey.
"Are you really hungry?" Brady wanted to hold her a bit longer. Violet had a faint, pleasant scent.
It calmed him down.
It swept away the fatigue from a day's work, giving him immense peace.
"Not really hungry. It's just that Eddy and the others are waiting for you outside," Violet said softly, her face still red. "I don't want them to wait too long."
Brady thought she was in a hurry because she was hungry, but it turned out she was worried about his assistants finding out they were being affectionate in the office?
He pinched her cute, upturned nose and said, "What are you afraid of? I pay them, so it's their job to wait."
"But I feel awkward," Violet huffed, her expression gentle and affectionate.
Brady loved it. He couldn't resist kissing her a few more times.
After a while, Violet remembered the project JK had taken on and wrapped her arms around Brady's waist. "Honey, JK landed a big costume design contract for a fantasy series."
"That's awesome, congrats," Brady said, stroking her hair.
JK's business had been expanding step by step, from private haute couture to various runway collaborations, and now to working with the film industry.
She hadn't let him down.
"Congrats are premature! We need to follow through with the production and ensure the series airs without any issues before we can celebrate," Violet said, worried about potential hiccups.
Especially since she had assigned Aria to oversee the project.
Who knows if she might cause some trouble?
"Still, congratulations are in order," Brady said honestly. "Haven't you noticed how well you've done since I handed JK over to you?"
It was true. Violet felt happy with Brady's praise. She had always worked hard to keep up with Brady, not wanting people to think she was just a lazy freeloader.
"Thanks for the compliment, honey," Violet said, snuggling into Brady's arms, acting a bit spoiled.
"It's not a compliment; I genuinely admire you now."
Violet smiled, her eyes sparkling.
She had always wanted Brady's approval, and now she had it.
"By the way, are you free tomorrow?" Violet asked, gazing at Brady's handsome face, a bit mesmerized.
"Not sure, why?"
"Henry and Nicole are starting school. Shouldn't we check out some preschools? I found a few, but they have high standards. Both parents need to be tested, and only if we pass can the kids be admitted." Nowadays, it's all about elite education.
Preschools not only test the kids but also the parents.
Brady held her waist. "I'll clear half a day tomorrow to go to the preschools with you." When it comes to the kids, nothing is more important.
Violet nodded, and Brady, still holding her, said, "Let's go out for dinner."
"Alright, if we don't go out soon, Eddy and the others will definitely think we're up to something in here."
Brady laughed, "Even if they think that, they wouldn't dare say anything."
Violet blushed and covered her face, "But I'd be embarrassed."
Brady couldn't resist kissing Violet again. She was just too adorable.
"Alright, no more teasing. What do you want to eat?"
Violet held his hand, thought for a moment, and said, "How about barbecue?"
"Sounds good."
