Chapter 339 Jealousy Drove Amelia Crazy

In the JK Office, Violet returned to her desk, her mind still reeling from the unsettling encounter in the lobby. She rubbed her cheek absentmindedly, trying to shake off the lingering anxiety. She had to remind herself not to be swayed by Brady's heroic rescue. Otherwise, she'd be the one to suffer.

"Violet, head to the venue this afternoon. We need to start prepping the designs," Max said, snapping her out of her thoughts. He placed a stack of design drafts on her desk and added, "Check out these runway designs to get a feel for the styles. But remember, we're all about originality. Use them for reference, not imitation."

Violet quickly flipped through the drafts. They were stunning, but she didn't need Max's reminder. She'd learned in school that imitation and plagiarism were a no-go.

"Got it, Mr. Green. Our teachers drilled it into us—no imitating or plagiarizing. Don't worry," she replied.

Max trusted Violet, especially after the Leana incident. With a look of appreciation, he said, "Let's give it our all. This runway show is your big debut with JK. Do your best."

"I will," Violet nodded eagerly.

"Alright, get to it," Max said, giving her a lingering look before heading back to his office.

As Violet was flipping through the designs, her phone buzzed with a text from Amelia. She'd almost forgotten about Amelia's order. Quickly, she grabbed the draft she had designed overnight, stuffed it in her bag, and headed to the filming location.

Amelia was shooting a high school drama at a campus in New Future City. Violet took a cab to the school, explained her purpose to the security guard, and was granted entry to find Amelia.

Amelia, dressed in a white schoolgirl outfit, was resting in a car. Her scene had just wrapped, and she had a half-hour break. The timing was perfect for Violet to present her designs.

Violet found Amelia's car and was about to get in when a staff member spotted her. His eyes lit up, and he pulled her over to the nearby director, saying, "David, don't you think she'd be perfect for the role of Sophie Brown?"

The actress playing Sophie had quit due to scheduling conflicts, and David Anderson had been frantically searching for a replacement. When he saw Violet, his eyes lit up too. She was stunning, even more so than the lead actress, Amelia.

"Would you like to act?" David asked.

"I don't act. I'm here to see Amelia. I'm her designer," Violet replied, taken aback. She'd never studied acting and had no interest in the entertainment industry.

"Come on, give it a shot!" David urged.

Violet shook her head, "No, thank you. I'm here to see Amelia."

"How about $5,000 for one episode?" David offered, desperate to hire her.

Violet was stunned. $5,000 for one episode? That was a lot of money!

While she was in a daze, Amelia and Mia, who had heard the commotion, came over. When they understood the situation, Amelia's face darkened. What charm did Violet have? Not only did Aiden care for her, but now David was interested too?

Amelia's jealousy flared up, her face flushing with a mix of anger and disbelief.
