Chapter 991 Mr. Hall Is Really Good to You, He Wasn't a Man Who Cared for Women Before

After Austin and Emily finalized their trip to America, Austin felt a surge of excitement, almost like he was on a high. The plan was simple. He and Emily would share a room, while her parents would have their own. Everything would fall into place perfectly.

Austin could hardly wait to make Emily his woman. Ideally, she would get pregnant right away, ensuring she would never leave him.

He was thrilled as he began to envision his future, marrying into Emily's family and gaining control of the Hart family's multi-million dollar fortune. He would no longer have to work as a professor at this rundown school. Instead, he would enjoy the finest foods, luxury cars, and beautiful women.

Lost in his daydreams, Austin remembered he needed to request time off for the trip. He quickly left his office to get a leave form from the HR department. He filled out the form for three days off and had it approved before heading to the principal's office.

He knocked and entered. Inside were Principal Roy Murphy and Lucien. Both men looked at Austin, who was beaming as he held the leave form.

Lucien, not being the principal, stood aside, waiting for his uncle Roy to handle the request. Roy glanced at the form and asked, "Mr. Roberts, you're going to America?"

Professors from their prestigious school needed higher approval to travel abroad due to certain risks.

"What for?" Roy inquired.

Austin decided not to hide the truth, especially with Lucien present. He could use this opportunity to hint at his plans. "Mr. Murphy, I'm accompanying my girlfriend and her family to America to visit a friend. Her father has a heart condition, and I'm taking him for a check-up."

Roy adjusted his glasses and asked, "Three days, right?"

"Yes, three days should be enough. We'll stay there for two days," Austin emphasized, making sure Lucien heard every word.

"Alright, since it's for that reason, I'll approve it," Roy said, signing the leave form.

After signing, Austin continued, "Mr. Murphy, when my girlfriend and I get engaged, could you be our witness?"

Roy was taken aback. A witness? And Austin was getting married so soon? He had just started dating.

"Mr. Murphy, would you?" Austin pressed.

Roy smiled, "Sure."

"Thank you, Mr. Murphy. I'll get back to work now," Austin said, feeling relieved as he left the office. Before leaving, he shot Lucien a challenging look, clearly signaling that Emily was his.

Lucien's eyes darkened as he watched Austin leave. After a few moments of silence, Lucien spoke, "Roy, I need three days off too, to go to America."

Roy was puzzled, "Why the sudden trip to America?"

Lucien's gaze lowered, and he quietly replied, "To chase after my girlfriend."

Roy looked utterly confused.

At a boutique bridal shop, Violet finally found a wedding dress she loved. It had a V-neckline and was adorned with luxurious Mediterranean pearls. The dress fit her perfectly, and she decided to buy it on the spot.

She paid $200,000 for the dress, a hefty sum, but it was nothing to Violet. She swiped her card without hesitation. Aria, the shop assistant, helped steam the dress and placed it in a special garment bag.

As she handed the bag to Violet, Aria casually remarked, "Mrs. Hall, Mr. Hall treats you so well. He wasn't always known for being considerate to women."

The comment was made lightly, but Violet took notice. She raised an eyebrow and asked, "What did you just say?"

Aria's eyes, sharp and beautiful, held a faint smile. "Nothing, Mrs. Hall. Thank you for your patronage."

"Alright," Violet said, taking the garment bag. She glanced at Aria with a hint of suspicion but didn't press further. She and Emily then left the shop.

Aria stood at the door, watching Violet's slender figure disappear, lost in thought as if reminiscing about something from the past.
