Chapter 34 I really want to tear her apart in anger
The hallway of JK Company.
Violet pressed the elevator button and headed to the ground floor, ready to take a car to the client's place. Just as she reached the entrance, Lilian, who had recently joined the public relations department of the Hall family, happened to be getting off work. She saw Violet walking in front of her and quickly caught up, her eight-centimeter-high heels clicking.
Once she caught up to Violet, she reached out and grabbed her, starting to mock her. "Violet, how dare you still have the audacity to stay in the Hall family?"
"What does it have to do with you whether I stay in the Hall family or not?" Violet glanced at her with cold indifference and a year's worth of pent-up anger in her eyes. She raised her hand and forcefully shrugged her off. "My affairs are none of your business."
"I'm warning you, leave here early, or don't wait for Mr. Hall to personally kick you out. The one who will be embarrassed is you." Lilian was shoved aside and her expression turned fierce.
"Heh, that's none of your concern either. Have you forgotten? I'm no longer part of your Devereux family... then, you all from the Devereux family have also kicked me out, how can you still have the face to come and bother me?" Violet really couldn't be bothered with her, including the old lady who came to scold her before.
They kicked her out, but still want to meddle in her affairs? Can't they just leave her alone?
She turned around and strode away. She and her stepmother are just birds of a feather. She has no need to say anything nice to her anymore. In the future, she will make them all pay for it!
Lilian looked at her strong back and immediately tightened her lips, this bitch. Where did she get this attitude? How dare she be so tough?
Lilian instinctively thought, could it be true that she's really trying to seduce Brady? Just thinking about it made her bristle. She angrily wanted to tear her apart. She would never let Violet have the chance to seduce Brady again!
Violet walked out and was greeted by the sunset outside.
Taking a deep breath to calm herself after Lilian's threatening words, Violet made her way to the subway station.
The client assigned to her by Mr. Hall seemed to live in Belle Harbor, a well-known affluent area in New York.
Belle Harbor was in the heart of New York City, a place that only the top billionaires dared to purchase.
So, the client Mr. Green assigned to her must be a big client, right?
Since it was a big client, Violet felt she had to give her utmost professionalism.
Otherwise, if she messed up, it wouldn't look good for Mr. Green either.
After half an hour on the subway, Violet finally arrived at the station near Belle Harbor.
Just as she stepped off the platform, Max called her, "Violet, have you arrived?"
This time, Max's address towards her seemed to have become more intimate unconsciously.
"I just arrived," Violet answered the phone while searching for the address.
"This client is our annual heavyweight VIP client. I used to take care of her." Of course, although he had always dealt with her, Max didn't know that this old lady was Mr. Hall's grandmother.
Max patiently said, "Don't worry, she's a nice person. She wants a hat for the autumn season, a design that you should be able to handle."
If it were clothes, Max wouldn't trust her enough to give her the task.
After all, she was still a novice.
"Okay, I will do it well, Mr. Green," Violet nodded through the phone.
Max continued to advice, "If you finish designing and don't have a ride, you can call me. I'll pick you up."
"I can manage on my own," Violet didn't want to trouble him.
Mainly because she didn't want to get too close to him.
In order to avoid criticism from her colleagues.
"It's alright, I need to take responsibility for your safety," Max knew she would refuse, but he wasn't in a hurry.
Later, he would check the time and go there to pick her up.
After all, he had made up his mind to pursue her.
"Thank you," Violet still didn't want him to pick her up. She quickly hung up the phone, saying, "Well... Mr. Green, I have arrived. I'll hang up now, bye."
"Goodbye." Hanging up the phone, Violet quickened her pace towards the address of this very important client.
Finally, she arrived at the entrance of the villa district.
Violet identified herself to the security guard at the gate.
The security guard called the old lady to confirm if she was the invited designer.
And then allowed Violet to enter.
Once inside, Violet immediately made her way, searching for the villa's house number.
Finally, she found it.
Taking a deep breath, Violet went up the steps and knocked on the door.
The door opened quickly, revealing the butler of the villa. After sizing up Violet, the butler asked, "Are you the designer invited by the old lady?"
"I am the designer from JK, Violet." Violet nodded in agreement.
The butler made a sound of acknowledgement and gestured for her to enter, saying, "Ms. Devereux, please come in."
Violet obediently nodded once again and followed the butler inside.
As soon as she entered, Violet was captivated by the antique decor of the villa.
She had always thought that such luxury mansions would have a high-tech and luxurious style.
But this one had a simple and traditional Chinese style.
It is evident that the owner of this mansion must have a taste for antiquity.
While Violet was admiring the interior of the mansion, she noticed Brady's black Bentley slowly approaching on the road outside Belle Harbor.
He rarely had free time in the evenings, and he had no social engagements tonight, so he took the opportunity to come here and visit the old lady.
