Chapter 746 He Doesn't Dare to Be Too Reckless

As the door to the hotel's presidential suite slammed shut, Brady could hardly wait to get his hands on Violet's dress.

But with her being pregnant, he knew he had to be careful.

He restrained himself, gently working to unzip her dress.

When the zipper reached the small of her back, Brady's long-held restraint snapped.

He cupped Violet's face and kissed her with a mix of tenderness and wild passion.

The kiss left Violet dizzy, almost causing her to stumble.

Her body weakened, she clung to Brady's already unbuttoned white shirt, her face flushed, her voice trembling. "Brady, I'm pregnant. You need to be gentle."

Though the doctor had said it was safe to have sex during the second trimester, it was still risky.

Especially with Brady's current state, having been drugged, who knew if he could control his strength?

She was terrified of hurting the baby, but seeing how much he was suffering, she couldn't bear to let him endure it alone.

Brady understood her concerns.

He kissed her lips and face tenderly, then bent down to lift her gently. "Don't worry. I know how to be careful."

He laid her softly on the bed before leaning over her again.

But with Violet being pregnant, he couldn't go too far.

Even though they made love, it wasn't as satisfying as it could have been.

The effects of the drug made the process last so long that Brady couldn't control himself.

Seeing Violet in pain, her face flushed and sweaty, he had to stop midway, feeling heartbroken.

He covered her with a blanket. "I'm sorry. Did I hurt you? I'll take care of it myself."

He couldn't let his problem affect the baby.

Brady got out of bed, heading to the bathroom to handle things himself.

Violet glanced at his erection, her heart racing.

She grabbed his hand. "Can I help you?"

"How?" Brady didn't want to hurt her anymore.

He touched her burning cheek, trying to comfort her. "It's okay. I'll take care of it."

"I can help. You taught me before, remember?" Violet's heart pounded as she spoke, her voice shaking with embarrassment.

She had only done it once before, and it had embarrassed her so much she couldn't look at his body afterward.

But seeing him in such pain now, she wanted to help him, even if it meant doing something that made her uncomfortable.

"Are you sure you want to help me?" Brady was a bit taken aback.

The last time he had tried to teach her, she had almost refused to speak to him.

"Yes," Violet said, pulling back the blanket and slowly getting out of bed. She walked over to him and knelt.

An hour later, Brady was finally relieved.

Violet's face was as red as a tomato.

As soon as he was done, she rushed to the bathroom to clean up.

Brady followed her, holding her close as they washed up together.

They decided not to go home that night.

Meanwhile, Emily and Lucien were still sitting quietly in the restaurant.

The luxurious crystal chandelier cast a bright glow, softly illuminating Emily's face, which looked even paler than usual.

Just a minute ago, Lucien had rejected her confession.

He had agreed to dinner just to tell her to stop pursuing him.

Emily's face turned pale and stiff.

In her otherwise smooth-sailing life, Lucien was the first man to make her feel the sting of rejection and failure.

Emily knew that when a man took the trouble to meet you just to talk, it was over.

He must have grown tired of her relentless pursuit.

The thought brought a sharp, tearing pain to her heart.

It hurt so much.
