Chapter 995 Professor Moreau Really Knows How to Joke, Remember to Come Drink at Our Wedding Another Day
"No way!" Emily didn't even think twice. She quickly wiped the blood from her lips, turned around, opened the door, and bolted out.
Lucien didn't chase after her. He just stood there in the bathroom, determined not to give up on Emily this time.
Emily, still shaken, returned to her seat.
As soon as she sat down, Austin noticed her swollen lips and the blood. He immediately asked, concerned, "Emily, what happened to your lips? Did you hurt yourself?"
Emily covered her lips, flustered, and said, "I might have accidentally bitten my lip while washing my hands just now."
"Be more careful next time," Austin said gently, not suspecting anything.
"Okay, I'll be careful," Emily replied, pulling a wet wipe from her bag and pressing it against her swollen lips.
As she wiped, her lips stung. She hadn't expected Lucien, who always seemed so aloof, to kiss so fiercely. Her lips were killing her. But that wasn't the main issue. The main issue was that she couldn't let herself be swayed by him. Besides, she had no idea what had gotten into him, suddenly wanting her to be his girlfriend. No way. She wasn't going to feel unimportant again.
The rest of the flight was uneventful. Lucien returned to his seat and didn't approach Emily again. Emily leaned back in her chair to rest, with Austin attentively by her side.
After nearly five hours of flying, Austin needed to use the restroom. He got up and walked to the back of the plane, where he finally saw Lucien. He was so shocked that his face changed color. He stared wide-eyed at the elegantly seated Lucien. What was he doing on this flight? Was he also going to America? A series of questions swirled in Austin's mind. He couldn't make sense of it.
It wasn't until the plane hit a small patch of turbulence that Austin snapped out of it. He grabbed the nearby seat for support and forced a fake smile at Lucien. "Professor Moreau, what a coincidence."
Lucien didn't want to engage with him and replied coldly, "Yeah."
"Are you going to America too?" Austin continued to probe with a fake smile. He suspected Lucien was going to America because of Emily.
"I'm here for Emily," Lucien said bluntly.
Austin was stunned, his expression constantly changing. So, he was right. Lucien wanted to rekindle things with Emily? He wouldn't let that happen. Emily was his now!
"Professor Moreau, you have quite the sense of humor. Remember to come to our wedding," Austin said, barely containing his anger, still smiling falsely. With that, he headed to the restroom.
Lucien glanced at him and said indifferently, "You won't be getting married."
Austin was furious. Not getting married? He was determined to marry Emily. He pressed his lips together tightly, not wanting to argue further. Lucien's family background was powerful, and he couldn't compete with that. He swallowed his anger and went to the restroom with a stiff expression.
Meanwhile, in Crestoria.
After Violet and Brady set their wedding date, they got busy with the preparations. The wedding process, guests, favors, invitations, and so on. When Matilda found out they had set a date, she was so happy that she insisted on taking Violet to buy jewelry. Violet didn't want Matilda to spend too much, but she couldn't refuse her kindness, so she agreed.
