Aria accepted their compliments and thanks, feeling somewhat soothed from the humiliation of being forced to remove her tattoo by Violet the previous day. She smiled gently and warmly, "I'm glad you like them. We'll be colleagues from now on."
"Thank you, we're excited to work with you," they chirped enthusiastically.
"Ms. Clark, why did you come to JK? Isn't your store doing well?" someone asked.
Aria twirled a lock of her curly hair and said, "Because I admire Ms. Devereux of JK."
Mentioning Violet made everyone's eyes light up, "You know our Ms. Devereux? She's Mr. Hall's wife."
Everyone had seen the grand wedding a few days ago.
It was something they all envied.
"Yeah, I know her," Aria smiled slightly, though no one noticed the coldness and resentment in her eyes. "That's why I wanted to join and work with her. I admire women like Mrs. Hall."
"She's super talented in design!" They continued to genuinely praise Violet.
Listening to them, Aria's eyes filled with more disdain and coldness.
Talent? She would show them what real design talent was.
As everyone continued to share stories about Violet and Brady's loving relationship, Violet finally arrived.
The moment she stepped into JK, she saw all the designers gathered around Aria, and to her annoyance, each of them was holding a handbag from Aria's store.
How easily they could be bought!
Violet immediately looked at Aria, who had already started winning over JK's designers. Impressive?
Was this a declaration of war?
Violet withdrew her gaze and walked over in her high heels.
As she approached, the designers turned to her and greeted, "Ms. Devereux, you're here?"
Violet smiled gently, just like Aria, and said, "Yes, I'm here." She paused, then pretended to be curious and asked, "Where did you get those handbags?"
"Ms. Clark, our new colleague, gave them to us," someone answered first.
Violet continued to smile, her tone non-confrontational, "I see. But our company has a policy against accepting expensive gifts to maintain a good atmosphere. Everyone should return the bags."
At this, the designers' faces fell.
Aria's expression subtly changed, but she was more than happy to see Violet lose favor with the designers.
She knew how much they loved the bags. If they had to return them, they would probably curse Violet in their hearts.
