Chapter 420 Violet Accept the Apologize
"Don't worry. I'm done bothering Brady, so you can chill. I'm not coming back," Violet said, ready to hang up.
Matilda quickly jumped in, "Violet, you have to come here. I need to tell you something important."
Matilda's tone was way different this time. Violet hesitated, thinking if she didn't go, the Hall family might come after her.
After a moment, Violet sighed and said, "Alright, I get it."
The call ended smoothly.
Matilda hung up, feeling relieved. As long as Violet came back, she could apologize.
Violet didn't waste any time. She grabbed her bag and headed back to the fancy ward in the private hospital.
She knocked and walked in.
As soon as Matilda saw her, she rushed over, grabbed her hand, and immediately apologized. "Violet, I was too impulsive earlier. I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have hit you. Please, don't be mad and don't leave Brady. If you're upset, take it out on me."
Matilda's words were so sincere that Violet was shocked. She thought Matilda was going to yell at her again, but this?
What was up with Matilda?
Why was she apologizing?
Violet hesitated and asked, "Why the sudden change of heart?"
Matilda held Violet's hand tightly, looking super guilty and ashamed. "It's my fault for listening to others. When I saw Brady hurt, I acted without thinking. I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have doubted and hit you."
Matilda looked so upset. "Please don't be mad. I know I messed up."
Matilda's apology was so heartfelt that Violet couldn't stay mad. She knew Matilda had been misled. Of course, it was the Devereux family behind it!
"Grandma, since it was a misunderstanding, I'm not mad," Violet said.
"Really?" Matilda looked up at her.
"Yeah, I'm not mad."
"Grandma, who told you all this?" Brady asked from the side.
Matilda pulled Violet to sit on the sofa next to Brady. "Pelinka. She came to me early and told me all this stuff. I had some dealings with her before, so I thought she wouldn't lie. Turns out, I was wrong."
It really was the Devereux family. Violet felt a surge of anger.
"Violet, don't worry. She also asked me to spread rumors about you online. I won't help her this time. I'll help you," Matilda said sincerely.
Violet nodded. "Thanks, Grandma."
"Don't mention it. I almost messed things up between you two." Matilda regretted her earlier actions.
If Violet left, Brady would be single again.
"It's okay." Violet's gentle comfort made Matilda feel better.
Matilda nodded.
After clearing things up, Matilda became even more considerate and protective of Violet, feeling she had to make up for her mistake.
Meanwhile, Oliver was nearly crippled by a silver fork stabbed by Brady. Though he was rescued, he was terrified.
After surgery, he quickly held a press conference to admit that he and Lilian had orchestrated the incidents at the JK design show to discredit Violet.
