Chapter 659 I Hope You Can Accept
Her dad was in the hospital?
Juniper froze, her beautiful eyes staring blankly at her phone screen. Her dad had always been in good health, so how could he suddenly be hospitalized after coming to Crestoria?
What was going on?
Juniper didn't dare to think too much. She immediately asked the person who informed her to send the address, quickly packed her bag, and hurried downstairs to catch a cab to the hospital where her dad was admitted.
The ride from the hotel to the hospital was quick, about 15 minutes.
As soon as Juniper got out of the cab, she rushed straight to her dad's room.
She found the VIP special care room on the top floor of the hospital, and without knocking, she pushed the door open. Inside, she saw her dad lying in bed and her brother sitting beside him.
James, who was usually full of energy, looked a bit haggard lying there.
Juniper couldn't hold back her tears and ran to him, crying as she threw herself onto him.
She loved her dad the most and didn't want anything to happen to him.
"Juniper, what are you doing in Crestoria?" Ethan, who was standing nearby, looked at her in shock as she cried in James's arms.
Could she have followed them here?
The more Ethan thought about it, the more likely it seemed. He recalled her calling him frequently over the past few days, saying random things. It dawned on him that she might have been here for a while.
Had she been hiding from them?
"Don't worry about why I'm here. What happened to Dad? How did he get sick so suddenly?" Juniper ignored her brother's questions. She wiped her tears and continued sobbing, complaining to him, "If Mom finds out you made Dad sick, she won't let you off."
Ethan was speechless.
"Juniper, stop crying." James reached out to touch her hair, both surprised and helpless. "Did you follow us here?"
Juniper didn't dare to lie. With tears in her eyes, she nodded. "Yes, I knew you were coming to Crestoria, so I followed. I wanted to surprise you and Ethan. Who knew you'd end up in the hospital?"
As she spoke, tears fell again, and she asked in a delicate voice, "Dad, are you feeling unwell? Why are you in the hospital?"
"It's nothing, just some heart discomfort." James lovingly wiped her tears away. "Don't cry; Dad's fine."
"Okay." Juniper looked at him carefully, making sure he was really okay before letting go and sitting down beside him.
As soon as she sat down, Ethan walked over and asked, "Where are you staying now?"
Juniper glanced at him, still upset that he hadn't taken good care of their dad. She replied in a spoiled, dissatisfied tone, "Platinum Haven Hotel. And I don't want to talk to you right now."
"Don't be mad. I promise I'll take good care of Dad." Ethan was amused by her and patted her shoulder. "By the way, how long have you been here?"
"A few days. I was sleeping a lot at first because I wasn't used to it here. Then I spent the last couple of days preparing to surprise you. But before I could, I found out Dad was sick."
"It's good that you're here. Actually, there's something I want to tell you." James slowly sat up in bed and leaned against the pillow, speaking lovingly.
Juniper looked at him curiously. "What is it?"
"Juniper, I hope you won't get upset about it; I want you to accept it." James wasn't sure if Juniper would accept having a new sister.
And for Helen, he wasn't sure about that either.
But he owed it to Evelyn and Violet. He must do something.
