Chapter 1036 The Future is Long, Every Day Will Be Like a Wedding Night
Violet took Emily back to her presidential suite. Brady couldn't stay with them, so he had to get another suite for himself.
Their "wedding night" was postponed.
But there would be plenty of time for that in the future. Every night could be a wedding night from now on.
The next day, Brady had to go back to the office to handle some business. He didn't want to intrude on the women's room, especially since Emily was still sleeping there. He sent a longing text to Violet and headed to work.
Violet and Emily were still asleep.
Emily had been upset for most of the night, and Violet had stayed up talking with her.
It took Emily a long time to calm down and fall asleep.
Violet was exhausted, too, and they both slept soundly until morning.
At 9:30, Henry and Nicole, the two kids from the next room, ran in and jumped on the bed, waking them up.
They groggily opened their eyes.
"Mom, why is Emily sleeping with you?" Henry asked, lying on top of Violet and looking curiously at Emily.
Violet touched his nose and said, "Emily didn't go home last night, so she slept with me."
Henry nodded, somewhat understanding. Nicole, who liked Emily, climbed onto her and hugged her, saying sweetly, "Emily, you smell so nice."
Emily had used some scented body wash the night before, and the fragrance lingered.
Nicole liked the smell.
"Really? Nicole, did you have breakfast?" Emily asked, trying to distract herself from last night's troubles by playing with Nicole.
"Yes," Nicole replied obediently.
Violet rubbed her temples and said, "Emily, do you want to have breakfast before you go?"
"Sure," Emily nodded.
"Do you want me to go with you?" Violet asked, worried that Emily might struggle on her own.
Emily thought for a moment, "Yes, please come with me."
She was indeed afraid she couldn't handle it alone.
"Okay," Violet said, squeezing her hand. "Don't think too much. Let's have breakfast first."
Emily sighed and nodded.
She was more worried about her father's health.
How would he react when he found out they were breaking up?
Meanwhile, at the Hall Mansion.
Matilda had just woken up when the housemaid hurried in to report, "Mrs. Hall, Ms. Clark is here to see you."
"Aria?" Matilda asked as she got out of bed.
The maid nodded, "Yes, Aria."
"Have her wait in the living room. I'll freshen up and see her," Matilda instructed.
The maid helped Matilda out of bed and then went to the living room to greet Aria.
A few moments later, Matilda came out of her bedroom in a comfortable cotton-linen outfit.
Aria, who was sitting on the sofa, stood up immediately and greeted her respectfully, "Good morning, Mrs. Hall."
"Good morning, Aria. It's been a while since you visited the Hall Mansion," Matilda said with a smile as she walked over.
"I've been busy with my store since I got back, and I didn't want to disturb you," Aria said softly, knowing Matilda would understand.
Aria had a difficult past and had been living under others' roofs for years. Although she managed, it was never truly her home.
Matilda understood.
But with so many people in need, the Hall family could only help a limited number.
"You can always consider this place your home," Matilda said, taking Aria's hand.
"Thank you," Aria nodded. "Is Mr. Hall not home?"
"He's busy with his own matters," Matilda said, laughing as she led Aria to sit down. "Stay for lunch with me."
"Okay," Aria agreed, sitting down and then taking out a carefully prepared gift for Matilda. "Mrs. Hall, I brought you some custom-made dresses from my store. I made three sets for you. Try them on, and if you're not satisfied, I'll make adjustments."
Matilda glanced at the three dresses, noting the high-quality and comfortable fabric.
She smiled and said, "Aria, you're so thoughtful. Your craftsmanship is as good as my daughter Violet's."
Mentioning Violet made Aria smile. "No, I'm not as good as she is," she said modestly. Then she continued, "Mrs. Hall, I have a favor to ask. I hope you won't mind."
"Of course not. What is it?"
"Mrs. Hall, I'd like to work at Violet's company. My store is small and has no future. Would you help me? I have my resume ready," Aria said, taking out her resume from her bag.
Matilda took it and flipped through it, seeing a list of certificates and awards.
It was clear that Aria's talent was being wasted in a small store.
"Aria, don't worry. I'll talk to Violet and get you in."
"Thank you, Mrs. Hall."
