Chapter 1054 Darling, How Will You Compensate Me?
Max handed Violet the contract, "Looks like they want us to design costumes for a fantasy series. They reached out, hoping JK could help with the designs."
Violet glanced at the contract, "That's a lot of work. And the timeline's pretty tight."
Max nodded, "Yeah, no way around it. The show's about to start filming, so we need to send three designers to the set."
Violet thought for a moment, "Who are you planning to send?"
"For this kind of on-set design work, we need experienced pros. I'm thinking of sending our more seasoned designers to avoid any slip-ups," Max explained. This project was huge, and he didn't want to mess it up.
If the show became a hit, their company would gain a lot of recognition, so he was determined to get it right.
"Alright, let's do it your way," Violet said, handing the contract back to him.
Max took it, his eyes lingering on Violet. The woman before him was no longer the fresh graduate she once was. Over the past two years, she had transformed into someone more confident and beautiful.
Her every move exuded an irresistible charm.
Max quickly looked away, reminding himself that she was Brady's wife now.
He couldn't afford to have any inappropriate thoughts.
"Violet, I'll get going then," Max said, standing up with the contract. "You should head home early, too."
Violet nodded, planning to wait for Brady.
But as she picked up her phone again, she suddenly remembered something and called out to Max, "We have a new assistant at JK. How about sending her to the set?"
Max paused, trying to recall who she meant, "Who are you talking about?"
"Aria."
Max understood and gave her an OK gesture, "Got it, I'll arrange it."
"Great."
After Max left, he quickly messaged the three experienced designers to inform them about the on-set assignment. He also tagged Aria in the work group chat, instructing her to join the team on set.
Aria had just returned to her apartment when she saw the notification. She opened it and read the message.
They wanted her to start on set the next day.
Aria's eyes turned cold as she read the message. Were they trying to get rid of her?
Well, that was fine. She'd see how Violet handled the mess she planned to create on set.
JK had taken on the costume design for a fantasy series.
They were probably hoping it would be a big hit.
She'd make sure to sabotage it.
Aria coldly replied in the group chat, agreeing to the assignment, and then went to take a shower.
The soup that had been spilled on her earlier still clung to her clothes, making them stink.
Violet continued to wait in her office for Brady to finish work.
After half an hour, the twilight outside the half-open window faded, and darkness settled in.
Violet glanced outside, feeling a bit anxious.
She was about to head to the executive office to see what was going on when her office door opened, and Brady walked in.
He looked a bit tired, probably from just finishing a meeting.
Violet felt a pang of sympathy as she looked at him.
She immediately walked over and hugged him, "Honey, are you very tired?"
"Not too bad. You must have been waiting for a while," Brady said, stroking her hair. No matter how tired he was, seeing Violet made all his fatigue disappear.
"A little," Violet admitted, though she had intended to say she wasn't. But looking at Brady's handsome face, she couldn't help but act a bit spoiled, "So, how are you going to make it up to me?"
"How about I take you out for a nice dinner? What do you want to eat?"
Violet smiled and suddenly pointed to Brady's lips, "I want to eat... here."
Brady was taken aback by her boldness.
He looked at her deeply.
After a moment, he responded by cupping her face and giving her a passionate kiss.
"Is that enough?" he asked, his voice husky and affectionate as he continued to kiss her.
