Chapter 362 Why Did He Suddenly Become Suspicious?
"Henry, did Uncle Brady swing by to see you?" Violet asked, trying to keep her cool after a mini freak-out.
Henry nodded.
So, Brady had a secret meet-up with them. But how? Wasn't Hellen always with the kids? Violet was totally puzzled. She trusted Hellen with her life, so what went down?
Violet was stumped. She turned to Hellen, who was nearby. "The kids said Brady saw them. Have you taken them anywhere recently and left them alone?"
Didn't seem likely. Hellen wouldn't just ditch the kids.
"I don't know. I've always been with them," Hellen said, just as confused. How did Brady manage to see them? Even if they asked the kids, they wouldn't explain it clearly.
"Hellen, think hard," Violet urged. This was serious, and she needed answers.
'Last time, Emily helped with the paternity test abroad, and Brady hadn't bugged the kids since. Why now?' Violet thought.
She couldn't figure out what was wrong.
"Okay, Let me think." Hellen furrowed her brow, trying to recall some details. She had only seen Brady once when she won a $1,000 shopping voucher.
'But I was there the whole time, and Brady didn't mention the kids. So when else could it be?' Hellen wondered.
Finally, Hellen remembered the early education class. That day, the principal had taken the kids away. She thought they were just playing.
Hellen slapped her forehead. "Violet, I remember now. It might have been at the early education class. Brady could have been there."
"What do you mean?" Violet frowned. "He was there too?"
Hellen shook her head. "I'm not sure if Brady was there, but the principal took the kids to the play area. Maybe Brady was there."
Violet panicked. Brady playing with the kids was a bad sign, especially since he had taught them to say "daddy."
Violet realized Brady might have found out something.
What exactly, she couldn't guess.
But it was definitely about the kids.
"Violet, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have taken the kids out just to save some money." Seeing Violet's pale face, Hellen felt guilty. "I'm really sorry."
"It's not your fault. You did nothing wrong," Violet said, snapping out of her thoughts. "When he suspects someone, there's nothing we can do."
Hellen nodded. "So what do we do now?"
Violet bit her lip, thought for a moment, and said, "I'm going out for a bit."
She stood up.
Hellen also stood up and asked, "Violet, where are you going?"
"I'm going to find Emily for help," Violet said, heading to the door. She took out her phone and texted Brady: [Are you at No. 2 Mansion? I'm coming over to see you.]
Brady replied quickly: [I'll be home in half an hour.]
Violet: [I'll wait for you there.]
She hurriedly put on her shoes and left.
She had to find out why Brady had said that.
