Chapter 1050 Ms. Clark, Being a Lover Is Actually Meaningless, He Won't Be Tempted
Before they knew it, lunchtime had rolled around.
Violet led Aria to the Hall Group's employee cafeteria via the elevator. As they reached the entrance, Violet paused and said, "Let's hang out here for a sec."
Aria glanced at her, puzzled. "Are we waiting for someone?"
"Yep," Violet replied with a sly smile. Just then, the elevator doors behind them opened.
Three or four young men in sharp suits stepped out. They were assistants from the Hall Group's executive office, and Violet knew them well.
After the young men exited, Brady finally emerged. His handsome face, tall stature, and commanding presence naturally drew the attention of everyone in the cafeteria. The employees were surprised to see such a strikingly handsome man, who seemed almost god-like, dining in the employee cafeteria.
Their surprise turned to understanding when they noticed Violet standing nearby.
"Have you been waiting long?" Brady asked, glancing at his black mechanical watch before turning his gaze to Violet.
His eyes then fell on Aria, and his brows furrowed slightly. He hadn't expected Aria to be there.
"Not long, just about a minute," Violet replied with a smile. She then turned to Aria and said, "She's my assistant now. I asked her to join us for lunch. You don't mind, do you?"
Brady wouldn't dare object to Violet's arrangements. With a loving smile, he said, "Of course not. Let's go in."
"Alright," Violet nodded.
The couple walked into the cafeteria side by side, while Aria followed behind, her expression darkening. Her fingers curled instinctively at her sides.
They found a seat by the window, and Aria tried to hide her discomfort, fearing Brady would notice her intentions.
But Violet was deliberately trying to provoke her. During lunch, she complained about the meat in her lunchbox and asked Brady for some of his beef. Brady obliged, feeding her and even wiping the oil from her lips with a napkin.
It was a blatant display of affection.
Other employees in the cafeteria watched silently, biting their forks in envy. They had always thought Brady was too aloof to be a doting partner, but his actions proved otherwise.
Brady truly adored Violet.
Such a wonderful man was a rarity, and they knew they might never encounter another like him.
However, Aria, sitting across from them and witnessing their display, felt nothing but bitterness and resentment. She couldn't bring herself to eat the food in front of her. Her mouth tasted bitter, and her fingers clenched tightly, veins bulging.
After finishing the beef Brady had fed her, Violet turned to him and said, "Honey, I'd like some yogurt from the cafeteria. Could you get me a cup?"
The Hall Group's employee cafeteria offered a variety of desserts and unlimited yogurt, in addition to the main meals.
Brady could have easily asked one of his assistants or Eddy to fetch it, but he chose to go himself.
Once he left, Violet picked up her fork and stirred the broccoli in her lunchbox. She looked at Aria, who hadn't touched her food, and said calmly, "Ms. Clark, being a mistress is pointless. You can see he won't be tempted."
"You're beautiful and talented in design. There's no need to stoop to such despicable actions."
Aria's face grew increasingly grim at Violet's blunt words.
Violet continued, her tone growing stronger, "I don't have time for petty squabbles. If you come to your senses, while Brady still doesn't despise you, you can either stay at JK as a designer or return to your shop. I'll make sure to visit often."
