Chapter 342 Perhaps There Was Some Hidden Relationship

Inside the show venue, Violet arrived right on time. Max had already been chatting with the other designers for a while. Holding Amelia's rejected draft, she hurried over.

Max immediately showed concern, asking, "How's it going? Is working with Miss Amelia smooth?"

Max had only discovered yesterday that Violet had taken on an order from a celebrity.

Of course, he knew who had given her the order, but he didn't think badly of it.

"Not great. Amelia is pretty strict," Violet admitted.

"No worries, celebrities are all like that," Max gently reassured her.

Nearby, Fanny couldn't help but roll her eyes and sarcastically said, "Oh, Mr. Green, you're so kind to Violet! You even care about such small matters?"

"Isn't that normal?" Max replied indifferently. "We're all colleagues."

"It's different, you're our boss," Fanny continued in her mocking tone.

Anyone with a keen ear could tell that Fanny was insinuating that Max was especially kind to Violet, perhaps hinting at some hidden relationship.

Violet was speechless, but knowing that Fanny and Laura were on the same side, she didn't expect anything nice to come out of Fanny's mouth.

"If any of you have problems, I care about them too," Max said, fearing Violet might feel pressured. Then he straightened his face. "Alright, enough with the nonsense. Let's all work hard on the designs for this show."

"Okay," Violet nodded.

Fanny and the other designers pretended to agree, casting disdainful glances at Violet, which she didn't care about.

Next, Max directed everyone to gather at the design tables in the show venue to commence brainstorming, while he went to confer with Victoria regarding the show.

Once Max departed, Fanny stood by the design table and couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy as she observed Violet engrossed in her design drafts.

Besides this show design, Max had also involved Violet in the upcoming collaboration at Elysium Springs. She had heard rumors that Max would take Violet there too.

Max was really too partial to Violet.

What qualifications did Violet have? She was just a recent graduate, knowing nothing, with no significant works to her name, and had no right to accompany Max to Elysium Springs for the design collaboration.

And yet, why did they, the veteran designers who had worked for ten years, have no chance?

Wasn't Max being too unfair?

The more Fanny thought about it, the more unjust it seemed. Originally, she was hesitant about following Laura to work at EU, but after learning about this, she was completely disheartened. What was the point of staying at JK?

Nothing was fair, it was better to follow Laura Murphy and change jobs, maybe her career would have more growth opportunities.

Of course, before leaving, Fanny decided to help Laura ruin JK's reputation. Otherwise, it wouldn't be satisfying.

Fanny withdrew her gaze, took out a design pen, and started talking to an old designer next to her, "Natalia Petrov, do you know about our company's trip to Elysium Springs next month?"

Natalia certainly wouldn't know because Max hadn't approached her, so she was curious. "No, I don't. What is our company going to Elysium Springs for?"

"Of course, it's to sign a big collaboration deal led by our boss, Mr. Hall," Fanny said with a fake smile.

"Is that so? That's a good thing," Natalia said.

"It's a good thing, but do you know who will be going?"

"I don't know." But with Fanny's words, Natalia knew she wasn't in the running. Otherwise, she would have known. So she paused and then asked, "Fanny, are you going?"

"Of course not, I don't have such good fortune," Fanny said, deliberately putting on a mocking tone.
