Chapter 678 Make Him Save Lilian, or I Will Kill You

The basement of Devereux Villa.

Juniper was sobbing in panic, struggling desperately to free herself from the thick, sturdy rope binding her. The more she struggled, the tighter the rope seemed to get, digging into her skin and leaving painful red marks.

She was on the verge of breaking down.

Tears welled up in her eyes, streaming down her face.

Just as she was about to lose all hope, she heard the sound of a lock turning outside the basement door. The door swung open, and Eileen walked in, holding a sharp knife, her eyes cold and menacing.

Eileen looked down at the Lawson Corporation heiress lying on the dirty floor with a mocking smile.

James wouldn't help her? Fine, then he could feel the pain of his daughter being hurt.

By then, he would be begging her on his knees.

The more Eileen thought about it, the more excited she became. Her mind was filled with crazy thoughts, and she just wanted to drag someone down with her.

"Hey, Ms. Lawson, wanna get outta here?" Eileen asked, her cold smile fading as she walked slowly towards Juniper, waving the gleaming knife in her hand.

Of course, Juniper wanted to leave, so she nodded frantically at Eileen's question.

"Then listen up and call your dad," Eileen said, reaching out to rip the black tape off Juniper's mouth.

As soon as the tape was torn off, Juniper cried out in pain. "It hurts."

"Shut up," Eileen snapped, not wanting to hear her screams. "Now call your dad and say exactly what I tell you, or I'll use this knife to cut up your pretty tiny face."

With her hands tied, Juniper was no match for Eileen. She had no choice but to comply.

Eileen took out a phone and started dialing. "Tell your dad to save Lilian, or I'll kill you."

"Please don't kill me," Juniper pleaded, realizing that Eileen wasn't after money but wanted to use her as a bargaining chip.

She would cooperate; she didn't want to die. She wanted to go home and see her mom.

"The call is connected. Say what I told you," Eileen said, pressing the phone to Juniper's ear and holding the knife against her cheek.

If she dared to say anything else, Eileen would cut her face.

The cold, sharp knife pressed against her cheek, sending chills down her spine.

Juniper didn't dare waste any time. She hurriedly spoke into the phone, "Dad, it's Juniper."

"Ms. Lawson, this is Mr. Lawson's assistant. Are you okay?" The assistant recognized Juniper's voice and immediately tensed up.

There were rumors online about Juniper's disappearance, but James didn't know yet.

"I'm fine. I need to talk to my dad," Juniper urged.

The assistant, unaware of the situation, quickly handed the phone to James, who was resting on his bed. "Mr. Lawson, it's Ms. Lawson on the phone."

James took the phone, his tone slightly indulgent. "What made you decide to call me? Have you come to your senses?"

Juniper couldn't care less about Violet right now. Hearing James' familiar voice, she burst into tears, sobbing, "Dad, can you help Lilian? Please help her."

As Juniper cried and spoke, James immediately sensed something was wrong. Juniper didn't know Lilian, and even if she did, why would she be crying like this?

What was going on?

"Juniper, what's happening?"
