Chapter 528 Does Hellen Have Hostility Towards Her?
As soon as Violet brought the flowers inside, Matildacalled her. She wanted to see the children. Brady had told her that everything was fine, so she dared to come and see Henry and Nicole.
She really hadn't seen Henry and Nicole for a long time.
Matilda excitedly explained her intentions over the phone. Violet glanced back at Hellen, and said, "Wait a moment, let me talk to Hellen."
"What's wrong? Is Hellen not letting me come?" Matilda sensed something was off.
Henry and Nicole were part of the Hall family, so why couldn't she come to see them?
"No, Grandma, just wait a moment, okay?" Violet said, feeling a bit of a headache.
She could guess that Hellen probably wasn't too keen on letting the Hall family see the children, but Matilda was really a nice person.
And both children were part of their family; it was impossible not to let them meet.
"Got it, I'll wait." Matilda thought that as long as she could see Henry and Nicole, it was worth the wait.
Violet then went to tell Hellen that Matildahad arrived.
As expected, Hellen said with a stern face, "Violet, you should have refused. We need to reduce contact with the Hall family."
"I wanted to refuse, but Matilda is already outside the mansion. She's so old; we can't just turn her away, can we?" Violet patiently persuaded.
"You're just too soft-hearted. What will you do in the future?" Hellen said.
"We'll figure it out later. I'll invite Matilda in, and we'll just let her see the children inside the house. Isn't that fine?" Violet continued to persuade.
Hellen didn't speak, but after thinking about Matilda's age, she realized that leaving her outside could cause trouble if something happened.
So after a while, she agreed. "Let her in."
"Okay." Violet quickly went to invite Matilda in.
As soon as the door opened, Matilda and the servants flooded into the mansion. The servants were carrying various bags of toys.
All of it was for Henry and Nicole.
"Quickly, give all these toys to Henry and Nicole." Once inside, Matilda smiled and directed.
But that wasn't all; Matilda really doted on Henry and Nicole.
As she walked over to them, she also gave them a lot of money.
With so much cash, Henry and Nicole curiously started to rummage through it, and they didn't seem unfamiliar with Matilda at all. When Matilda played with them, they laughed happily.
Seeing this harmonious scene, Hellendidn't want the Hall family to be so close to Henry and Nicole.
What if one day they were taken away?
So she took the money from Henry and Nicole and handed it back to Matilda. "Matilda, thank you for coming to see them, but we can't accept this money."
"This is a gift from me to them." Matilda was still polite.
"This gift is too generous, thank you," Hellen insisted.
Matilda's face turned a bit awkward. Did Hellen have some hostility towards her?
