Chapter 690 She Never Expected the Usually Soft Violet to Be So Ruthless
Brady had crashed hard after being brought back to his ward, totally wiped out.
Violet stayed by his side, watching him sleep. Even in the quiet, there were exhaustion on his face. Her eyes got red as she gently held his hand.
She wanted him to know she was there for him.
"Honey, I'll get stronger on my own. You don't have to fight all my battles," Violet whispered. "Just focus on getting better. Don't worry about anything at home."
As she spoke, tears welled up in her eyes.
She knew she wasn't as tough as some other women, always needing his help whenever something went wrong.
But that was okay. She could learn to be strong.
She couldn't rely on him for everything. She could share the load.
Violet stayed with Brady for another half hour. He was still out cold, probably exhausted from the recent ordeal. She decided to let him rest longer and gently placed his hand back down.
She was about to get a glass of water when a bodyguard knocked and entered cautiously.
Seeing Violet, he immediately spoke respectfully, "Mrs. Hall, Eileen is currently being held in the Hall Group's warehouse. What should we do with her?"
"Take me to her," Violet set down her glass and said firmly, her eyes suddenly filled with maturity and determination. "We can't let Brady's injury be in vain, right?"
The bodyguard nodded in agreement.
Violet glanced back at the still-sleeping Brady, then quietly left the ward with the bodyguard.
Eileen had always been malicious towards her, but this time she had hurt Brady.
Violet wouldn't show mercy anymore.
Meanwhile, in the Hall Group's warehouse.
Eileen sat on the cold, damp concrete floor, clutching her aching abdomen, blood trickling from her lips. She knew she was in deep trouble this time. She had stabbed Brady, kidnapped Juniper, and killed Pelinka.
She was truly done for.
But she was unwilling to accept it. She had never been this desperate and defeated. Her ingrained sense of superiority made her refuse to compromise or give up, even in the face of certain doom.
Especially knowing that Violet, a socialite from the Lawson family, would not only enjoy the Hall Group's wealth but also inherit the Lawson family's billions.
Jealousy and hatred burned within her like a demon, threatening to consume her heart and shatter her completely.
This torment drove Eileen to scream hysterically like a wild beast.
"Violet, I curse you to a miserable life!"
"Violet, you're as low as your mother. She got pregnant by another man and expects the Devereux family to take responsibility."
"Violet, I'll kill you!"
Eileen's screams echoed through the empty warehouse, unanswered.
Just as she was about to scream again, Violet entered with the bodyguard.
Seeing Violet, Eileen laughed maniacally. "I was just cursing you, you little bitch. And here you are, right on time for me to curse you to your face."
Eileen laughed, her sanity on the brink of collapse.
She had nothing left to lose, so she feared nothing.
Violet looked at her coldly and walked towards her. The bodyguard, worried Eileen might harm her, stayed close and said, "Mrs. Hall, she's a bit unhinged. Be careful and don't get too close."
Violet understood and turned to the bodyguard. "Bring me the whip."
The bodyguard nodded and handed her a long, thin black whip they had prepared.
Violet took the whip, twirled it in her hand, and without a word, lashed it across Eileen's body. The whip tore through Eileen's clothes, leaving a red mark that quickly began to bleed.
Eileen screamed in pain, shocked that the usually gentle Violet could be so ruthless.
'Violet could fight back now?' Eileen thought.
